Plz answer thx<br><br><br> How many moles are in 2.5 x 10^18 grams of water?
alex41 [277]

Answer:

1.39\times 10^{17} moles of water in 2.5\times 10^{18} g of water.

Explanation:

Mass of water = m = 2.5\times 10^{18} g

Molar mass of water = M = 18 g/mol

Moles = n = \frac{m}{M}

n=\frac{2.5\times 10^{18} g}{18 g/mol}=1.39\times 10^{17} moles

So, there are 1.39\times 10^{17} moles of water in 2.5\times 10^{18} g of water.

Given that hclo4 is a strong acid, how would you classify the basicity of clo−4?
Mandarinka [93]
As a conjugate base of a strong acid,ClO4-would be classified as having a negligible basicity. The basicity of a chemical species is normally expressed by the acidity of the conjugate acid. The basicity of an acid is the number of hydrogen ions, which can be produced by one molecule of the acid.

If a straight-chain hydrocarbon is a gas at room temperature, how many carbon atoms will it have?
Orlov [11]

The fewer the carbon atoms, the closer it is  to being a gas. The only one you have to check out is A which is hexane. You know that gasoline at the pumps has 8 carbons and its a liquid. So B and C are both not gases  because they are above 8.

C6 (hexane) is a liquid at room temperature not a gas.

The answer is D. If there is a gas present, it must be C3
