Answer: In H_2 molecule, there are 2 atoms of hydrogen present.

Explanation:

Coefficients are defined as the numbers that are written in the front of atoms or molecules during a chemical reaction. They represent the number of moles of the substance present in a chemical reaction.

For Example:  2H_2+O_2\rightarrow 2H_2O

2 moles of hydrogen gas is reacting with 1 mole of oxygen gas to produce 2 moles of water molecule.

Subscript numbers are defined as the number of atoms of each element present in a compound.

For Example: In CO_2, 2 atoms of oxygen element is there and 1 atom of carbon element is there.

Superscript numbers are defined as the charges of ions reacting in a chemical reaction.

For Example: In Ca^{2+}, 2+ charge is present on calcium ion.

We are given:

A molecule of hydrogen which is H_2

The number '2' is present in subscript, which represents the number of atoms in a molecule or a compound.

Hence, in H_2 molecule, there are 2 atoms of hydrogen present.

The theoretical yield of ammonia in an industrial synthesis was 550 kg, but only 480 kg was obtained. What was the percentage yi
Klio2033 [76]

We know that when calculating percent yield, we use the equation:

Percent yield=\frac{Actual yield (A)}{Theoretical yield (T)}

Since the quantities that we are given in the question are equal, we can just directly divide them to find percent yield:

Percentyield=\frac{480kg}{550kg} =0.8727*100=87.27

So now we know that the percent yield of the synthesis is 87.27%.

How can i find the number of neutrons in an element
lawyer [7]

Answer:

The mass number is the sum of protons and neutrons. This means to find the number of neutrons you subtract the number of protons from the mass number. On the periodic table, the atomic number is the number of protons, and the atomic mass is the mass number.

hi, 100 points, , will also mark brainly-ist (what's the boiling point of water) ((you don't need to answer that))
BaLLatris [955]

Answer:

212 degrees F, and 100 degrees C.

Explanation:

If the temperature is held constant (which requires some heat input, since evaporation cools things) the liquid will all evaporate. If the temperature is much above 212 F, the water will boil. That means that it wont just evaporate from the surface but will form vapor bubbles, which then grow, inside the liquid itself. :)

If 200 grams of water is to be heated from 24.0oC to 100.0oC to make a cup of tea, how much heat must be added?
aksik [14]
According to this formula:

Q = M*C*ΔT

when we have M ( the mass of water) = 200 g

and C ( specific heat capacity ) of water = 4.18 J/gC

ΔT (the difference in temperature) = Tf - Ti

                                                          = 100 - 24

                                                          = 76°C

So by substitution:

Q = 200 g * 4.18 J/gC * 76 °C

   = 63536 J

∴ the amount of heat which be added and absorbed to raise the temp from 24°C to 100°C is = 63536 J
