Simplify 1/2x to x/2

-x/2 + 3 - 4x + 3/2x

Simplify 3/2x to 3x/2

-x/2 + 3 - 4x + 3x/2

Collect like terms

(-x/2 - 4x + 3x/2) + 3

Simplify

Translate the improper fraction . 3/2x = 1 1/2x
-1/2x +3-4x+ 1 1/2x
-1 /2x +1/2x = 0
all you have left is 3-4x + x
-4x + x = -3x
3 = -3x
-3x/-3 = 1
3/-3 = -1
x = -1

What is the solution set of the equation? p2 – 12p = 13 The solution set is
QveST [7]
                           p² - 12p = 13
                    p² - 12p - 13 = 0
              p² - 13p + p - 13 = 0
p(p) - p(13) + 1(p) - 1(13) = 0
         p(p - 13) + 1(p - 13) = 0
                  (p + 1)(p - 13) = 0
      p + 1 = 0    or    p - 13 = 0
          - 1  - 1             + 13 + 13
            p = -1                  p = 13

The solution set of the equation is {-1, 13}.

ASAP ILL GIVE BRAINLIEST IF UR RIGHT!!! The radius of the cone is 5 in and y = 13 in. What is the volume of the cone in terms of
Blababa [14]

Answer: V = 100\pi in^{3} (third option)

Given Information:

  • V = \frac{1}{3}\pi r^{2} h <-- volume formula.
  • r = 5
  • y = 13
  • <em>h = ?</em>

To find h...

  • h, r, and y make a right triangle.
  • h and r are the two legs, y is the hyptenuse.
  • h^{2} + r^{2} = y^{2}
  • h^{2} + 5^{2} = 13^{2}
  • h^{2} + 25 = 169
  • h^{2} = 144
  • h = 12

Use formula:

  • V = \frac{1}{3}\pi r^{2} h
  • V = \frac{1}{3} \pi (5)^{2} (12)
  • V = \frac{1}{3} \pi (25)(12)
  • V = \frac{1}{3} \pi (300)
  • V = 100\pi
