Hey there!

As we can see, our common ratio is 6- as we're multiplying by 6 for every term.

To find the nth term, we use the explicit formula rather than the recursive. The explicit is defined as:

an = a(sub)1 * r^n-1

For the a1, we substitute the first term, and for r we substitute 6.

an = 1/6 * 6^n-1

Hope this helps!

Find the ratio and simplify. In this triangle, find the ratio of the shortest side to the longest. A triangle has three sides w
schepotkina [342]
Well, the shortest will be 14.1 clearly, and the longest of all three is 15.2.

let's check the ratio from shortest to longest.

\bf 14.1\implies \cfrac{141}{10}\qquad \qquad\qquad  15.2\implies \cfrac{152}{10}
\\\\\\
\cfrac{shortest}{longest}\qquad 14.1:15.2\qquad \cfrac{14.1}{15.2}\implies \cfrac{\quad \frac{141}{10}\quad }{\frac{152}{10}}\implies \cfrac{141}{10}\cdot \cfrac{10}{152}
\\\\\\
\cfrac{141}{152}

Which is not a true statement about the transformation shown below?
IrinaVladis [17]

Answer: C: The orientation of the figure stayed the same

Step-by-step explanation:

Everything else is true

A. The figures do not change in dilation so they are still congruent

B. The pre-image does start in the top left which is quadrant 1

C. The orientation changes because the picture is reflected instead of translated so points D and E are in different respective locations

D. The image is a reflection. You can tell because both points D and E reflect across the Y-axis

lina2011 [118]
<u>Convert minutes and seconds to minutes:</u>
\text{3 mins 45 seconds} \longrightarrow 3 \dfrac{3}{4} \text{mins}

<u>FInd 3 3/4 mins:</u>
\text{1 min} \longrightarrow 28 \text{ copies}

3  \dfrac{3}{4} \text{ min} \longrightarrow 28 \times 3\dfrac{3}{4} \text{ copies}

3  \dfrac{3}{4} \text{ min} \longrightarrow 28 \times \dfrac{15}{4} \text{ copies}

3  \dfrac{3}{4} \text{ min} \longrightarrow 105 \text{ copies}

Answer: It can make 105 copies.
