Answer:

2.122 second

Explanation:

T1 = 3 s

L1 = L

L2 = L/2

As we know the time period of a simple pendulum is related by the length of the pendulum as

T =2\pi \sqrt{\frac{L}{g}}

Here, only the length of pendulum changes and the value of g is constant so,

\frac{T_{2}}{T_{1}} =\sqrt{\frac{L_{2}}{L_{1}}}

\frac{T_{2}}{3} =\sqrt{\frac{L}{2L}}

T2 = 2.122 second

how many kilograms off mercury would fill a 5litre container if the density of mercury is 13.6grams per cm3
Sidana [21]

Answer:

68kg

Explanation:

1 cm^3 is the same as 1 mL and there are 5000mL in 5L

Therefore if the density is 13.6g/mL we multiply 13.6 by 5000 to get the amount of grams required = 68000g which is 68kg

Three pendulums all have the same length and start from the same height. The first pendulum is very light and has a mass of 67 g
vovikov84 [41]

Answer:

All three pendulum will attain same velocity

Explanation:

All three pendulum will attain same velocity irrespective of their mass difference in isolated system (means where air drag are negligible) and at same length

As you know when velocity is calculated we can not take mass into account.

Describe the differences among ultraviolet waves, visible light waves, and infrared waves. how are these waves alike?
sergeinik [125]
Our eyes are detectors which are designed to detect visible light waves (or visible radiation). ... The electromagnetic spectrum includes gamma rays, X-rays, ultraviolet, visible, infrared, microwaves, and radio waves. The only difference between these different types of radiation is their wavelength or frequency.
