Answer:

65.712 grams of oxygen has reacted.

Explanation:

2 C_2H_2(g) + 5 O_2(g)\rightarrow 4 CO_2(g) + 2 H_2O(g)

Mass of acetylene = 21.39 g

Moles of acetylene = \frac{21.39 g}{26.04 g/mol}=0.8214 mol

According to reaction , 2 moles of acetylene reacts with 5 moles of oxygen gas.

Then 0.8214 moles of oxygen gas will react with :

\frac{5}{2}\times 0.8214 mol=2.0535 mol of oxygen gas.

Mass of 2.0535 moles of oxygen gas :

2.0535 mol × 32 g/mol = 65.712 g

65.712 grams of oxygen has reacted.

A balloon contains 3.20 L of helium. The pressure is reduced to 59.0 kPa, and the
pshichka [43]

Answer:

101.4pKa

Explanation:

Given parameters:

Initial Volume of helium = 3.20L

Final pressure of helium = 59kPa

Final volume on helium gas = 5.5L

Unknown:

Initial pressure exerted on the balloon = ?

Solution;

To solve this pressure - volume problem, we simply apply the Boyle's law.

It states that "the volume of a fixed mass gas varies inversely as the pressure changes if the temperature is constant".

  Mathematically;

         P1 V1  = P2 V2

Now, insert parameters and solve;

         P1 x 3.2 = 59 x 5.5

          P1  = 101.4pKa

Which substance is an electrolyte
1) CCl4
2)SiO2
3)C6H12O6
4) H2SO4
Elena L [17]
Electrolyte is any species which when dissolved in solvent particularly water dissociates into cations and anions. Electrolytes are conductors of electricity. In given options;

CCl₄ (Tetrachloromethane) is a covalent compound. And it doesn't dissociate to any cation or anion. So it is not electrolyte.

SiO₂ (Silicon Dioxide) is also covalent in nature and exist in giant framework. It is not electrolyte.

Glucose (C₆H₁₂O₆) is also covalent compound. And doesn't produced any ion in water, hence it is not electrolyte.

H₂SO₄ (Sulfuric acid) is Electrolyte. When it is dissolved in water it produces H⁺ and SO₄²⁻ ions as follow,

                                 H₂SO₄    →      2 H⁺ ₍aq₎    +   SO₄²⁻ ₍aq₎

Result:
               H₂SO₄ is electrolyte.

What happens when magnesium reacts with dilute acid?
iogann1982 [59]

The magnesium dissolves to form magnesium chloride and hydrogen gas is released.

Mg  + 2HCl    -----> MgCl2  + H2(g).
