~Hello There!~

An atom can be identified by its elemental number. The atomic number is equal to the number of protons located in the nucleus. The protons are positively charged particles. Each ion has a specific place in an atom. Electrons are located outside of the nucleus. The electrons are arranged by the electron shells in the atom(?). Each element has electrons that can only hold a certain number of electrons for each energy level. Electrons have many shells - the electron cloud/shell with the most energy is known as the valence(?). The valence electrons are located at the outermost shell of the electron cloud.

Hope This Helps You!

Good Luck :)

Have A Great Day ^_^

You are working in a shoe test laboratory measuring the coefficients of friction for running shoes on a variety of surfaces. The
AnnZ [28]

Answer:

0.75

Explanation:

Since the static frictional force is the maximum force applied just before sliding, our frictional force, F is 300 N.

Since F = μN where μ = coefficient of static friction and N = normal force = 400 N (which is the downward force applied against the surface).

So, μ = F/N

= 300 N/400 N

= 3/4

= 0.75

So, the  coefficient of static friction μ = 0.75

A U.S. Department of Energy report estimates that over 100 billion kWh/year can be saved in the United States by various energy-
I am Lyosha [343]

Answer:

(a). 12 plants

(b). 3171 $

Explanation:

(a)first convert units of 100 billion kWh/year into Watts(W)

also convert the units of 1000 MW into Watts(W)

1 billion = 10^9

1 year = 365*24 = 8760 hrs

so

100 billion kWh/year = 1\frac{100*(10^9)*(10^3)}{8760}

                                  = 1.142*10^{10}W

1000 MW                  = 1000*10^{6} = 10^{9}W

no. of plants = \frac{1.14155*10^{10} }{10^9} = 11.4

So 12 plants required

(b)

savings = unit price*total units

             = 0.1 * 1.142*10^{10}( \frac{1}{1000*3600} )

             = 3170.9 =3171 $

What is the radius of the event horizon of a 10 solar mass black hole?
deff fn [24]

Answer:

The number take for the "radius" is normally taken to be the radius from the center to the event horizon, since nothing inside that can be observed, and since it is a point of no return. This radius is directly proportional to the mass of the black hole. From the Wikipedia article on event horizon: "For the mass of the Sun this radius is approximately 3 kilometers and for the Earth it is about 9 millimeters. In practice, however, neither the Earth nor the Sun has the necessary mass and therefore the necessary gravitational force, to overcome electron and neutron degeneracy pressure." The last sentence means that it is unlikely for the Sun to become a black hole, since it has too little mass to become one.
