Explanation:

Pure substances are typically elements and compound with the following characteristics:

 1. Pure substances are distinct substances.
 2. They are homogeneous in all their parts i.e they are the same all through.
 3. They have a definite composition
 4. They cannot easily be separated or broken down into simpler substances by physical means.
 5. Separation by physical means is not easy
 6. They have a unique sets of physical properties

Impure substances are mixtures. They have the following features:

 1. Their composition is indefinite i.e they consist of two or more elements and or compounds in any proportion by mass.
 2. Constituents retain their identities i.e physical properties are retained.
 3. The constituents reacts differently to changed conditions.
 4. They can easily be separated into their constituents by physical methods.

How did Aristotle's inability to detect parallax lead him to propose a geocentric model of the Solar System.
sasho [114]
He reasoned that since parallax could not be observed for celestial objects near the sun, then the earth was stationary. This erroneous assumption was because at the time he had no way of knowing that celestial objects were so far away that their parallax angles were too small to detect.

What is the equivalent resistance in this circuit?

What is the current in this circuit?
kramer

All these resistors are in series so we can take the sum of them by:

Rtotal = R1 + R2 + R3......

So...

Rtotal = 2 + 3 + 4 + 6

Rtotal = 15

So now the total resistance in the circuit is 15 ohms and the potential difference applied to the circuit is 45 volts

Now we can use:

V = IR

Isolate for I

V/R = I

45/15 = I

I = 3 amps (A)
