Explanation:

A covalent bond is defined as the bond which is formed due to sharing of electrons between same or different non-metals.

For example, Cl_{2} molecule has a covalent bond.

Similarly, when sharing of electrons take place between the same metal atoms then there will be formation of a metallic bond.

For example, metallic bonding occurs between zinc, silver, copper etc.

Thus, we can conclude that one significant difference between an ionic bond, where electrons are taken from one atom and added to another atom, and a covalent or metallic bond, where electrons are shared is the type of bonding.

Ionic bond is formed by two opposite type of substances (metal and non-metal) while both covalent or metallic bond is formed by two same type of substances (non-metal and non-metal form covalent bond, metal and metal form metallic bond). Idk if it's true or not.

How many molecules are there in 45.0 grams of CH ?
Sonbull [250]

Answer:

There are 1.8021 ⋅ 1024 molecules of CH4 in 48 grams of CH4. To answer this question, you must understand how to convert grams of a molecule into the number of molecules. To do this, you have to utilize the concepts of moles and molar mass. A mole is just a unit of measurement. Avogadro's number is equal to 6.022 ⋅1023 molecules/mole. i think please dont complain to me if its wrong im sorry

A reaction requires 22.4l of at stp. You have 32.0l of gas at 398k and 105.6 kpa. Will you have enough gas to carry out the reac
Morgarella [4.7K]
<span>Answer: FALSE:

Explanation:

A reaction requires 22.4l of at STP. You have 32.0l of gas at 398k and 105.6 kpa.

1) STP stands for standard temperature and pressure.

2) Standard temperature is 0°C or 273.15 K

3) Standard pressure is 1 atm or 1013.25 kPa

4) use the ideal gas equation for both contidions

pV = n RT

=> n * R = pV /T

at STP n * R = 1031.25 kPa * 22.4 liter / 273.15 K = 84.5

at T = 398 K, p = 105.6 kPa, and V = 3.2.0 liter:

n * R = 105.6 kPa * 32.0 liter / 398 K = 8.49

Since R is a constant (the Universal Gases Constant), it is evident that the number of moles in the 32.0 liter of gas, at T = 398 K and P = 105.6 kPa is less than the number of moles of the 22.4 liter gas at STP.

There is not enough gas to carry out the reaction.
