Answer:

The angle between the diagonal and edge = 55 degrees

Explanation:

We will find it by finding the angle between two vectors (a and b)

We will assume it to be a unit cube

Vector a = (1,1,1)      (defines the diagonal vector)

Vector b = (1,0,0)    (defines the edge vector)

cos (theta) = (a.b)/(|a|*|b|)

cos (theta) = 1 / (\sqrt{3} * \sqrt{1}  )

theta = 54.74 degrees

theta = 55 degrees (Rounded to the nearest degree)

Why do the waves have different speeds in different layers of Earth's surface?
Genrish500 [490]

Answer:

Material's density

Explanation:

Seismic waves travel at different rates of speed based on a material's density. Hopefully, you understand that the Earth has three main layers: the crust, mantle, and core. Earthquake waves move faster through solids.

in figure 13-2 is the pressure greater in the area of the bottle outside of the tube (D) or inside of the tube (B)?
lutik1710 [3]
We are given with a figure in which the container is inserted with a tube. The pressure inside the tube is greater than the pressure outside the tube because primarily of the smaller area of the tube. This increases up the pressure and let the fluid rise up

Describe briefly with used of practical knowledge the effect of the voltage stores across and current
DaniilM [7]

Answer:

Answer in explanation

Explanation:

The path of flow of circuit is called electric circuit. In an electric circuit, resistances are connected in two different ways, which are:

1- Series Combination of Resistances

2- Parallel Combination of Resistances

<u>Series combination of resistances </u>

In series combination resistors are connected end to end, and there is only one path for the flow of current.

Characteristics Of Series Circuit:

1. In series circuit there is only one path for the flow of current.

2. Same amount of current flows through each resistor.

I = I₁ = I₂ = I₃ = In

3. Total voltage of the battery is equal to the sum of voltages across each resistor.

V = V₁ +V₂ + V₃ + ... + Vn

4. In series combination the combined resistance of the resistors can be obtained by adding the value of each resistor.

R  =  R₁ + R₂ + R₃ + … + Rn

<u>Parallel combination of resistances </u>

Resistances are set to be connected in parallel, when each of them is connected directly from the terminals of electric source.

Characteristics Of Series Circuit:

1.  There are more than one path for the flow of current.

2. The value of potential difference remains constant on each resistor.

V = V₁ = V₂ = V₃ = Vn

3. Total current is equal to the sum of current passing through each resistor.

I = I₁ + I₂ + I₃ +...+ In

4. Reciprocal of equivalent resistance is equal to the sum of reciprocals of resistances connected in parallel.

1/R   =  1/R₁  + 1/R₂  + 1/R₃  + … + 1/Rn

The circuit diagrams are in attachment.

Plz help with this paper.
lord [1]

Answer:

1. a) Draw a line towards the right side from the engine

b) This force pushes the boat forward and helps it accelerate further

2. a) Fixed volume for both solid and liquid

Compressible for only solid

Fixed shape is also for only Solid

b) The answer is 'c'

c) Solids, because they have their particles closely packed therefore they can be compressed (not so sure bout this answer)

A 7.25 kg7.25 kg block is sent up a ramp inclined at an angle ????=28.5°θ=28.5° from the horizontal. It is given an initial velo
Free_Kalibri [48]

Answer:

15.03 m

Explanation:

Given:

mass of the block, m = 7.25 kg

Angle, Θ = 28.5°

Initial speed of the block, v₀ = 15 m/s

let the distance traveled by the block be 's'

Now, applying the work energy theorem,

we have

(m\times g\times\sin(\theta)\times s) + \mu_k\times mg\times s\times cos(\theta) = \frac{1}{2}\times m\times v^2

on substituting the values in the above equation, we get

(7.25\times 9.8\times\sin(28.5^o)\times s) + 0.326\times 7.25\times9.8\times s\times cos(28.5^o) = \frac{1}{2}\times 7.25\times 15^2

or

33.902\times s) +20.35\times s = 815.625

or

54.252\times s = 815.625

s = 15.03 m

Hence, the block will travel 15.03 m up the ramp
