Make a Borax solution by placing one teaspoon of Borax in a cup of hot water and stir.
Make a glue solution by mixing two tablespoons of Elmer's liquid glue with one teaspoon lotion, a squirt of shaving cream, and three squirts of foaming hand soap.
Slowly add the Borax solution to the glue solution, one spoonful at a time. Stir in between each spoonful added. Continue until at your preferred consistency.

How to make fluffy slime!

SLIME MIXTURE

-1 Cup of Elemers School Glue

- 1 Cup Of Shaving Foam (or Shaving Cream Whatever You Call It)

- 1/4 Cup Of Foaming Hand Soap

- Mix Well You Get a Fluffy Marshmellow Consistency

- Add 1 Table Spoon Of Cornstarch

- 4 To 5 Pumps of any Lotion (To Make It Stretchy)

- Add Food Coloring Or any Extras (This IS TOTALLY optional)

BORAX MIXTURE

DO NOT DRINK THIS!!!!!!!

-Mix 1 Cup Of Warm Water To 1 TEASPOON Of Borax

-Mix Well Until All The Borax Is Dissolved

MIXING BORAX AND SLIME MIXTURE TOGETHER

-SLOWLY Mix The Borax Mixture To the Slime Mixture 3 TEASPOONS at a time

- Once Its Not Sticky Take It Out Of The Bowl .........

AND YOU HAVE FLUFFY SLIME!!!!

Supplies -

2 mixing bowls

Teaspoon, Table Soon, 1 Cup, 1/4 of a Cup

Glue, Shaving Foam, Foaming Soap, Corn Starch, Lotion

Food Coloring, Floam Beads (DO NOT HAVE TO DO THIS)

1 Cup warm water

1 TEASPOON borax

Spoon (to mix)

Paper towels (because this gets MESSY)

What is the percent composition of MgO2H2
zhannawk [14.2K]

41.38 % Mg

55.17 % O

3.45 % H

Explanation:

What is the percent composition of magnesium hydroxide Mg(OH)₂?

To find the percent composition we follow the next algorithm.

First we calculate the molar mass of Mg(OH)₂:

molar mass of Mg(OH)₂ = molar mass of Mg × 1 + molar mass of O × 2 + molar mass of H × 2

molar mass of Mg(OH)₂ = 24 × 1 + 16 × 2 + 1 × 2 = 58 g/mole

Now we devise the next reasoning:

if in         58 g of Mg(OH)₂ there are 24 g of Mg, 32 g of O and 2 g of H

then in   100 g of Mg(OH)₂ there are X g of Mg, Y g of O and Z g of H

X = (100 × 24) / 58 = 41.38 % Mg

X = (100 × 32) / 58 = 55.17 % O

X = (100 × 2) / 58 = 3.45 % H

You determine that your compound is soluble in the acetone, but not the water, aqueous hydrochloric acid or aqueous sodium hydro
Alborosie

Answer:

The answer to your question is organic or non polar compound.

Explanation:

Acetone is an organic compound then it's organic and one characteristic of these compounds is that they are non polar.

Water, aqueous hydrochloric acid and aqueous sodium chloride are inorganic and they are polar, they dissolve compounds similar to them, inorganic and polar compounds.

Calculate the percent yield if 52.9 g of ethanol reacts to produce 26.7 g of ether.
blagie [28]

Answer:

The % yield is 62.7 %

Explanation:

Step 1: the balanced equation

2CH3CH2OH(l) → CH3CH2OCH2CH3(l) + H2O(l)

Step 2: Data given

mass of ethanol = 52.9 grams

molar mass of ethanol = 46.07 g/mol

mass of ether = 26.7 grams

Molar mass of ether = 74.12 g/mol

Step 3: Calculate moles of ethanol

Number of moles = Mass / molar mass

Moles of ethanol = 52.9 grams / 46.07 g/mol

Moles of ethanol = 1.15 moles

Step 4: Calculate moles of ether

For 2 moles of ethanol consumed, we have 1 mole of ether produced

For 1.15 moles of ethanol consumed, we have 1.15/2 = 0.575 moles of ether produced

Step 5: Calculate mass of ether

Mass = moles * Molar mass

Mass ether = 0.575 moles * 74.12 g/mol = 42.62 grams = theoretical yield

Step 6: Calculate % yield

% yield = (26.7 / 42.62) * 100 = 62.7%

The % yield is 62.7 %

Sugar is easily soluble in water and has a molar mass of 342.30 g/mol. what is the molar concentration of a 252.6 ml aqueous sol
lions [1.4K]

0.811 M is the molar concentration of a 252.6 ml aqueous solution prepared with 70.3 g of sugar.

Define molarity of a solution.

Molarity (M) is the amount of a substance in a certain volume of solution. Molarity is defined as the moles of a solute per litres of a solution.

Given data:

252.6 mL = 0.2526 L

Next, we shall determine the number of moles of the sugar. This can be obtained as follow:

Molar mass of sugar = 342.30 g/mol.

Mass of sugar = 70.3 g

Mole of sugar =?

Mole =\frac{mass}{molar \;mass}

Mole =  \frac{70.3 g}{342.30}

Mole of sugar = 0.205 mole

Finally, we shall determine the molar concentration of the sugar. This can be obtained as follow:

Mole of sugar = 0.205 mole

Volume =  0.2526 L

Molarity =?

Molarity = \frac{Moles \;solute}{Volume of solution in litre}

Molarity = \frac{0.205 mole}{ 0.2526 L}

Molarity = 0.811 M

Therefore, the molar concentration of the solution is 0.811 M
