Determine the force per meter on a lightning bolt at the equator that carries 20 000 A and is perpendicular to the Earth’s magne

To determine the force per meter of a light bolt at the equator that carries 20 000 A and is perpendicular to the Earth's magnetic field with a magnitude of 3x10-5 T, we do this:
20000 / 3x10-5 = 666.67x10^6 N/m

The direction of the force would be to the left parallel to the equator.

The bird that migrates the farthest is the Arctic tern. Each year, the Arctic tern travels
Tanzania [10]

Answer: 131.14km per day

Explanation: since the second half of the terns migration takes 122 days we can assume that the full migration would take 244 days. using this we can divide the total distance by the total amount of days it takes (because speed = distance/time) which is 32,000/244, which would be 131.14

1. Describe the path light takes as it travels through air and into glass.
EastWind [94]
When a ray passes from air into glass the direction in which the light ray is travelling changes. The light ray appears to bend as it as it passes through the surface of the glass. When a light ray passes from air into water a similar thing occurs: the light ray is bent as it strikes the surface of the water.

A student walks downstairs to class. Which statement correctly describes the types of energy the student has at the top of the s
AveGali [126]

Answer:

D potential energy at the top of the stairs, kinetic energy as she walks down

Explanation:

The potential energy of a body is the energy due to the position of the body.

At the top of the stair case, the student is at a significant height.

Kinetic energy is the energy due to the motion of the body.

As the student descends, the potential energy is changed to kinetic energy.

 To find the potential energy;

          P.E  = mgH

 m is the mass

 g is the acceleration due to gravity

 H is the height of the body

 To find the kinetic energy;

         K.E  = \frac{1}{2} m v²

   m is the mass

   v is the velocity
