There is the idea that a novice driver does not drive the same as someone who has been driving for a long time. Regardless, Florida law requires the newly qualified driver to demonstrate for 12 months through his or her behavior that he or she is adequately prepared to avoid traffic hazards in general. Basically, it is a trial period that works as an extension of the training process. In this case, after obtaining the student's license for 12 months without any traffic conviction, the driver will receive an intermediate license.
