Original cost of the necklace = $28
Percentage by which the store reduces the price of the necklace = 20%
Amount of discount given
by the store on the necklace = (20/100) * 28
                                               = 28/5 dollars
                                               = 5.6 dollars
So
The price of the necklace after discount = (28 - 5.6) dollars
                                                                 = 22.4 dollars
Amount of discount on coupon = $2
Then
Price of the necklace after deducting coupon discount = (22.4 - 2) dollars
                                                                                        = 20.4 dollars
So Janet will pay 20.4 dollars for the necklace.

Priya and Tyler are discussing the figures shown below. Priya thinks that B, C, and
Setler [38]

Answer:

No, I do not agree with them. Both are wrong.

Step-by-step explanation:

For a shape or figure to be considered a scaled copy of another, the length of all the segments of scaled copy must be equal to the length of all corresponding segments of the original figure multiplied by the same scale factor.

By examining the scaled copies B, C, and D, we would conclude that only D can be referred to as a scaled copy of D, because all the segments are exactly twice the corresponding segments of A. C and B do not have all its segment scaled in the same proportion.

Therefore, we cannot agree with Priya, nor Tyler. They are both wrong.

A school has 1800 students 55 %of the students of girls. how many boys are in the school?
Katena32 [7]

Answer:

810 boys

Step-by-step explanation:

1800 students and 55% are girls.

100%-55%=45%

1800*0.45 = 810

1800*0.55 = 990

So there are 990 girls and 810 boys.

Hope this helps :)
