A 1300-turn coil of wire 2.40 cm in diameter is in a magnetic field that increases from 0 T to 0.120 T in 9.00 ms . The axis of

Answer:

The induced emf in the coil is 7.843 V

Explanation:

Given;

number of turns of the coil, N = 1300 turn

diameter of the coil, d = 2.4 cm = 0.024 m

initial magnetic field, B₁ = 0 T

final magnetic field, B₂ = 0.12 T

change in time, dt = 9.0 ms = 9 x 10⁻³ s

Area of the coil is given by;

A = πr²

radius of the coil, r = 0.024 / 2

radius of the coil, r = 0.012 m

A = π(0.012)²

A = 4.525 x 10⁻⁴ m²

The induced emf in the coil is given by;

E = NA(dB/dt)

E =  NA [(B₂ - B₁) /dt]

E = 1300 x 4.525 x 10⁻⁴ (0.12 - 0) / (9 x 10⁻³)

E = 7.843 V

Therefore, the induced emf in the coil is 7.843 V

How much work is done to increase the speed of a 1.0 kg toy car by 5.0 m/s?
soldi70 [24.7K]

Answer:

The correct option is (b).

Explanation:

We need to find the work done to increase the speed of a 1 kg toy car by 5 m/s.

We know that, the work done is equal to the kinetic energy of an object i.e.

W=\Delta K\\\\W=\dfrac{1}{2}mv^2\\\\W=\dfrac{1}{2}\times 1\times 5^2\\W=12.5\ J

So, 12.5 J of work is done to increase the speed of a 1.0 kg toy car by 5.0 m/s.

A 1500 kg car traveling east at 40 km/hr turns a corner and speeds up to a velocity of 50 km/hr due north. What is the change in
pantera1 [17]

Answer:

96046  Ns.

Explanation:

We shall represent velocity in vector form considering east direction as + ve x axis and north as + y direction.

40 km/h in the east

V₁ = 40 i

V₂ = 50j

momentum p₁ = mV₁

= 1500 X 40 i

= 60000 i

Momentum p₂ = mV₂

= 1500 X 50j

= 75000 j

Change in momentum

p₂ - p₁

75000j - 60000i

Magnitude of change

= \sqrt{(750000)^2 +(60000)^2

= 96046  Ns.

Our Sun shines bright with a luminosity of 3.828 x 1025 Watt. Her energies
kifflom [539]

Answer:

a)   E = 1.58 10²¹ J , b) Oil = 4,236 107 liter ,  e)   T = 54.3 C

Explanation:

a) To calculate the energy that reaches Earth, let us combine that the power emitted by the Sun is distributed uniformly on a spherical surface

     I = P / A

     A = 4π r²

in this case the radius of the sphere is the distance from the Sun to Earth r = 1.5 10¹¹ m

     I = P / A

     I = P / 4π r²

let's calculate

     I = 3,828 10²⁵/4 pi (1.5 10¹¹)²

     I = 1.3539 10²W / m² = 135.4 W / m2

the energy that reaches the disk of the Earth is

    E = I A

the area of a disc

    A = π r²

    E = I π r²

where r is the radius of the Earth 6.37 10⁶ m

     E = 135.4 π(6.37 10⁶)

     E = 1,726 10¹⁶ W

This is the energy per unit of time that reaches Earth

    t = 1 dai (24h / 1day) (3600s / 1h) = 86400 s

    E = 1,826 10¹⁶ 86400

     E = 1.58 10²¹ J

b) for this part we can use a direct proportions rule

      Oil = 1.58 10²¹ (1 / 37.3 10⁶)

      Oil = 4,236 10⁷ liter

c) to silence the surface temperature of the Earth we use the Stefan-Bolztman Law

       P = σ A e T⁴

       T = \sqrt[4]{P/Ae}

nos indicate the refect, therefore the amount of absorbencies

       P_absorbed = 0.7 P

let's calculate

       T = REA (0.7 1.58 1021 / [pi (6.37 106) 2 1)

       T = RER (8,676 106)

       T = 54.3 C

b) Among the other factors that must be taken into account is the greenhouse effect, due to the absorption of gases from the atmosphere

You are waiting to turn left into a small parking lot. a car approaching from the opposite direction has a turn signal on. you s
katrin [286]
If the car in the opposite direction turns the signal on your vehicle, then it is only likely to give way and let him or her turn before you make your turn because he or she is in the right of way and by doing this, it will prevent any complication from happening and to be able to show respect and politeness in driving.

If a man travels from 0m to 5m then back to -3m, all in four seconds, what is the mans displacement?
yawa3891 [41]

Answer:

-3 m

Explanation:

Displacement is the final position minus the initial position.

Δx = x − x₀

Δx = -3 m − 0 m

Δx = -3 m
