Answer:

The induced emf in the coil is 7.843 V

Explanation:

Given;

number of turns of the coil, N = 1300 turn

diameter of the coil, d = 2.4 cm = 0.024 m

initial magnetic field, B₁ = 0 T

final magnetic field, B₂ = 0.12 T

change in time, dt = 9.0 ms = 9 x 10⁻³ s

Area of the coil is given by;

A = πr²

radius of the coil, r = 0.024 / 2

radius of the coil, r = 0.012 m

A = π(0.012)²

A = 4.525 x 10⁻⁴ m²

The induced emf in the coil is given by;

E = NA(dB/dt)

E =  NA [(B₂ - B₁) /dt]

E = 1300 x 4.525 x 10⁻⁴ (0.12 - 0) / (9 x 10⁻³)

E = 7.843 V

Therefore, the induced emf in the coil is 7.843 V

4. A substance has a density of 0.79 g/cm'. It is soluble in water. List all the possibilities of what it might be How could you
Natasha_Volkova [10]

Answer:

See explanation

Explanation:

Given that the density of the unknown substance is 0.79 g/cm3 and is soluble in water, the possible substances it could be are;

i) t-butanol

ii) ethanol

iii) 2-propanol

iv) acetone

However, the actual identity of the unknown substance can be obtained by carrying out a boiling point test. The four substances listed above have different boiling points. Hence the boiling point of the unknown substance ultimately discloses its identity.

Why centre of mass equal to centre of gravity
Maksim231197 [3]
Because mass and distance determine gravity, so the more mass you have, the more gravity.

An ideal spring is fixed at one end. A variable force F pulls on the spring. When the magnitude of F reaches a value of 43.8 N,
maw [93]

A force of 43.8 N is required to stretch the spring a distance of 15.5 cm = 0.155 m, so the spring constant <em>k</em> is

43.8 N = <em>k</em> (0.155 m)   ==>   <em>k</em> = (43.8 N) / (0.155 m) ≈ 283 N/m

The total work done on the spring to stretch it to 15.5 cm from equilibrium is

1/2 (283 N/m) (0.155 m)² ≈ 3.39 J

The total work needed to stretch the spring to 15.5 cm + 10.4 cm = 25.9 cm = 0.259 m from equilibrium would be

1/2 (283 N/m) (0.259 m)² ≈ 9.48 J

Then the additional work needed to stretch the spring 10.4 cm further is the difference, about 6.08 J.

The Franck-Hertz experiment involved shooting electrons into a low-density gas of mercury atoms and observing discrete amounts o
Anuta_ua [19.1K]

Answer:

the final kinetic energy is 0.9eV

Explanation:

To find the kinetic energy of the electron just after the collision with hydrogen atoms you take into account that the energy of the electron in the hydrogen atoms are given by the expression:

E_n=\frac{-13.6eV}{n^2}

you can assume that the shot electron excites the electron of the hydrogen atom to the first excited state, that is

E_{n_2-n_1}=-13.6eV[\frac{1}{n_2^2}-\frac{1}{n_1^2}]\\\\E_{2-1}=-13.6eV[\frac{1}{2^2}-\frac{1}{1}]=-10.2eV

-10.2eV is the energy that the shot electron losses in the excitation of the electron of the hydrogen atom. Hence, the final kinetic energy of the shot electron after it has given -10.2eV of its energy is:

E_{k}=11.1eV-10.2eV=0.9eV
