Which of the following equations is balanced

Chemistry
1 answer:
laiz [17]3 years ago
3 0

Answer:- Third equation, 2Al(s)+3FeO(s)\rightarrow Al_2O_3(s)+3Fe(s) is balanced.

Explanations:- A balanced equation has equal number of atoms of each element on both sides.

In first equation, both sides have two Al, so Al is balanced. Both sides have three O and so O is also balanced. Left side has three Fe but the right side has only one Fe and so the reaction is not balanced as it has unequal Fe on both sides.

In second equation, Al is balanced as both sides have two Al. Fe and O are not balanced as left side has one Fe and one O where as the right side has three Fe and three O. So, the reaction is not balanced.

In third equation, both sides have two Al, three Fe and three O and it makes the reaction balanced. So, the third equation is balanced.

In fourth equation, both sides have three Fe and three O and so they are balanced but Al is not balanced as the left side has one Al where as the right side has two Al. So, this equation is not balanced.

Hence, the only correct choice is third equation, 2Al(s)+3FeO(s)\rightarrow Al_2O_3(s)+3Fe(s)

So for the first bit Swinging a ball around is like the moon going around the earth because instead of the earth and moon its you and the ball. For the second part of it the inward force is the earths gravity is pulling on it and since it has a greater mass the force is greater at closer distances. By the way the moon wants to move in a straight line. I hope that helps you out.

Answer:

Yes.

General Formulas and Concepts:

Chemistry - Stoichiometry

  • Balancing reactions
  • Reaction prediction

Explanation:

Step 1: RxN

Zn + HCl → ZnCl₂ + H₂

Step 2: Balance RxN

Zn + 2HCl → ZnCl₂ + H₂

  • Need 2 H's on both sides
  • Need equal amount of Cl's on both sides

How many nitrogen atoms are present in 0.150 mol of zn(no3)2?
gregori [183]
First calculate number of Nitrogen atoms contained by 1 mole of Zn(NO₃)₂,

As one formula unit of Zn(NO₃)₂ contains 2 Nitrogen atoms, then one mole of Zn(NO₃)₂ will contain,

                           =  2 × 6.022 × 10²³

                           =  1.20 × 10²⁴ Atoms of Nitrogen / mole

Now, calculate number of Nitrogen Atoms in 0.150 moles of Zn(NO₃)₂.
As,
1 mole of  Zn(NO₃)₂ contained  =  1.20 × 10²⁴ atoms of N
Then,
0.15 mole of  Zn(NO₃)₂ will contain  =  X atoms of N
Solving for X,

                                    X  =  (0.15 mol × 1.20 × 10²⁴ atom) ÷ 1 mol

                                    X  =  1.80 × 10²⁴ Atoms of Nitrogen
Result:

So, 0.15 mole of  Zn(NO₃)₂ contains 1.80 × 10²⁴ atoms of Nitrogen.

When 0.040 mol of propionic acid, c2h5co2h, is dissolved in 750 ml of water, the equilibrium concentration of h3o+ ions is measu
WITCHER [35]
Answer is: Ka for propanoic acid is 6,57·10⁻⁵.
Chemical reaction: C₂H₅COOH(aq) + H₂O(l) ⇄ C₂H₅COO⁻(aq) + H₃O⁺(aq).
n(C₂H₅COOH) = 0,04 mol.
V(C₂H₅COOH) = 750 mL = 0,75 L.
c(C₂H₅COOH) = 0,04 mol ÷ 0,75 L.
c(C₂H₅COOH) = 0,053 mol/L = 0,053 M.
[C₂H₅COO⁻] = [H₃O⁺] = 1,84·10⁻³ M = 0,00184 M.
[HCN] = 0,053 M - 0,00184 M = 0,0515 M.
Ka = [C₂H₅COO⁻] · [H₃O⁺] / [C₂H₅COOH].
Ka = (0,00184 M)² / 0,0515 M.
Ka = 6,57·10⁻⁵.
