Answer : The final temperature of gas will be, 73.4^oC

Explanation :

Charles' Law : It is defined as the volume of gas is directly proportional to the temperature of the gas at constant pressure and number of moles.

V\propto T

or,

\frac{V_1}{V_2}=\frac{T_1}{T_2}

where,

V_1 = initial volume of gas = 445 ml

V_2 = final volume of gas = 235 ml

T_1 = initial temperature of gas = 105^oC=273+105=378K

T_2 = final temperature of gas = ?

Now put all the given values in the above formula, we get the final temperature of the gas.

\frac{445ml}{235ml}=\frac{378K}{T_2}

T_2=199.6K=73.4^oC

conversion  used : K=273+^oC

Therefore, the final temperature of gas will be, 73.4^oC

Hello!

To solve this problem we're going to use the Charles' Law. This Law describes the relationship between Volume and Temperature in an ideal gas. Applying this law we have the following equation:

\frac{V1}{T1} = \frac{V2}{T2} \\  \\ T2= \frac{V2*T1}{V1}=  \frac{235 mL * 105  ^{\circ}C }{455 mL}=54,23 ^{\circ}C

So, the final temperature is 54,23 °C

Have a nice day!

The density of solid ni is 8.90 g/cm3. how many atoms are present per cubic centimeter of ni
bulgar [2K]
Density gives mass of object per volume......   Here, density is given 8.90 g/cm3   therefore, per cubic centimeter contains 8.90 g Ni.   mole of Ni = mass / atomic mass   = 8.90 / 58.6934   = 0.1516 mole     number of atoms: mole * 6.022 * 10^23   = 0.1516 * 6.022 * 10^23   = 0.9129 * 10^23   = 0.9 * 10^23 (approx.)

Answer:

The answer to your question is   P = 1.64 atm

Explanation:

Data

Volume = 2.5 x 10⁷ L

Temperature = 22°C

Pressure = ?

Moles = 1.7 x 10⁶

R = 0.082 atm L/ mol°K

Process

1.- Convert temperature to °K

Temperature = 22 + 273

                      = 295°K

2.- Use the Ideal gas law to solve this problem

                PV = nRT

- Solve for P

                P = nRT / V

- Substitution

                P = (1.7 x 10⁶)(0.082)(295) / 2.5 x 10⁷

- Simplification

                P = 41123000 / 2.5 x 10⁷

- Result

                P = 1.64 atm
