The answer to your question is : no.of moles of Si = 43/atomic mass of Si = 43/28.1 = 1.53

according to reaction 3 moles of Si gives 1 mole of Si3N4

so 1.53 mole of Si will give 1.53/3 = 0.51 mole of Si3N4

molar mass of Si3N4 = 140.28 g/mole

it means that 1 mole of Si3N4 = 140.28 g

so 0.51 mole of Si3N4 = 0.51 X 140.28 = 71.543 g

a sample of copper wire with a mass of 1.659 g is heated with excess powdered sulfur until the copper has combined with the sulf
CaHeK987 [17]
First you figure out how many grams of sulfur has been used.
2.080g - 1.659g = 0.421g of S used
Now change all of your grams to mols.
1.659g of Cu / 63.546g/mol = 0.02611mol of Cu
0.421g of S / 32.065g/mol = 0.01313 mol of S
From this you can see that S has less so we divide both numbers by the number of moles of S so we can get a ratio of S to Cu.
0.01313/0.01313 = 1 for S
0.02611/0.01313 = 2 for Cu
So the empirical formula would be Cu2S or copper sulfide.

what would the heat transfer be if you are making macaroni and it rises and falls in a pot on the stove ?
MrMuchimi
Convection

Convection is transfer of heat through fluid (liquid or gas) caused by their molecular motion. In convection, heat current flows in a vertically upward direction. Macaroni rising and falling in a pot of boiling water is due to convection

How many types of hybridization does carbon undergo?
Novosadov [1.4K]

Answer:

For carbon the most important forms of hybridization are the sp2- and sp3- hybridization. Besides these structures there are more possiblities to mix dif- ferent molecular orbitals to a hybrid orbital. An important one is the sp- hybridization, where one s- and one p-orbital are mixed together.

How many moles are in 442.8 g of strontium carbonate (SrCO3)?
GuDViN [60]

Answer:

3 moles

Explanation:

SrCO3

Mass = 442.8g

Molar mass = (87.6 + 12 * [16*3]) = 147.6g/mol

Number of moles = mass / molar mass

Number of moles = 442.8 / 147.6

Number of moles = 3

Convert 5.28 x 1019 molecules of C6H1206 to grams.
nlexa [21]

Answer:

m=0.0158g

Explanation:

Hello there!

In this case, it is possible to comprehend these mass-particles problems by means of the concept of mole, molar mass and the Avogadro's number because one mole of any substance has 6.022x10²³ particles and have a mass equal to the molar mass.

In such a way, for C₆H₁₂O₆, whose molar mass is about 180.16 g/mol, the referred mass would be:

m=5.28x10^{19}molecules*\frac{1mol}{6.022x10^{23}molecules}*\frac{180.16g}{1mol}\\\\m=0.0158g

Best regards!
