Answer:

1. 77.5g,

2. 1.78 mol,

3. 281 g

4. add 80 mL of water

Explanation:

1. Molar mass (Na2O) = 2*23.0 + 16.0 = 62.0 g/mol

1.25 mol *62.0 g/1mol = 77.5 g Na2O

2. Molar mass (KOH) = 39.1 +16.0+1.0 = 56.1 g/mol

100 g * 1 mol/56.1 g = 1.78 mol KOH

3. Molar mass (KOH) = 39.1 +16.0+1.0 = 56.1 g/mol

5 mol * 56.1g/1 mol = 281 g KOH

4. M1V1 =M2V2

M - molarity, V- volume of solution

2.0M*20mL = 0.4M*V2

V2 = 2.0*20/0.4 = 100 mL

Volume of diluted solution = 100 mL

We have 20 mL of solution, we need 100 mL of solution,

so we need to add (100-20) =80mL of water.

Take 20 ml 2.0 Molar  of solution of HCl , add 80 mL of water, then we get 100 mL 0.4 M solution of HCl.

a flack that weighs 345.8g is filled with 225 ml of carbon terachloride the weight of the flack and carbon terachloride is found
Jlenok [28]

The density of the carbon tetrachloride is 1.59 g/mL.

Mass of CCl₄ = 703.55 g – 345.8 g = 357.75 g

Density = mass/volume = 357.75 g/225 mL = 1.59 g/mL

Which alkane would have a higher boiling point?a)ethaneb)pentanec)heptane
Whitepunk [10]

Answer:

The correct answer is option c.

Explanation:

Alkanes with higher molecular mass has higher boiling point.

Thisis because when the molar mass of the alkanes increases the the surface area  increases with which van der Waals forces between the molecules of alkane also increase which increases the association of the molecules of with each other which results in increase in boiling point is observed.

The increasing order of the molar mass of the given alkanes;

C_2H_6

So out of ethane, pentane and heptane . Heptane has highest molecular mass with higher boiling point value. Where as ethane have the lowest value of boiling point.

Of a cell membrane allows it to control material Entering and leave a cell?
Nata [24]

Answer:

The cell membrane is the outer layer of the cell. The primary function of the cell membrane is to regulate what substances enter and leave the cell. The cell membrane is selectively permeable, or "semi-permeable", meaning that the membrane only allows certain substances to enter or leave the cell.
