A layer of greenhouse gases – primarily water vapor, and including much smaller amounts of carbon dioxide, methane and nitrous oxide – acts as a thermal blanket for the Earth, absorbing heat and warming the surface to a life-supporting average of 59 degrees Fahrenheit (15 degrees Celsius).

Answer:

Global warming is an effect on our planet that is caused by carbon dioxide being trapped in our atmosphere. When the carbon dioxide is trapped, it is bouncing off the bottom layer of the clouds. Some escapes into outer space, but most of it stays. We cause global warming, by using vehicles, making asphalt, burning fossil fuels, and many more.

An effect of global warming is our poles oceans are melting. When our polar caps melt most of the way, we will experience a lot of flooding for many coastal cities. We will also experience extreme weather, like stronger hurricanes, larger thunderstorms, and larger areas effected by other natural disasters.

One thing we can do to stop or slow down these effects is to use vehicles less (or make better vehicles for the environment), stop burning fossil fuels, and make a world-wide law to prevent certain things from commencing. Nuclear bombs are also a problem to global warming. We will hopefully never reach that problem.

Vesna [10]

1. 12.992 L

2. 2.42 moles

3. 275.52 L

4. 567.844 g

Further explanation

Given

moles and volume at STP

Required

mass, volume and moles

Solution

Conditions at T 0 ° C and P 1 atm are stated by STP (Standard Temperature and Pressure). At STP, Vm is 22.4 liters / mol.

1. 0.58 moles ammonia :

Volume = 0.58 moles x 22.4 L = 12.992 L

2. 77.5 grams of O₂ :

Moles = 77.5 grams x (1 mol/32 grams) = 2.42

3. 12.3 mole of Bromine gas :

Volume = 12.3 mole x (22.4 L/1 mole) = 275.52 L

4. 4.8 moles iron(II)chloride :

Mass = 4.48 moles x molar mass ( 126,751 g/mol) = 567.844 g

Ammonia gas and oxygen gas react to form water vapor and nitrogen monoxide gas. What volume of water would be produced by this r
NikAS [45]

Answer:

Water volume produced is 7.3 mL

Explanation:

This the reaction:

4NH₃ (g) + 5O₂ (g) → 4NO (g) + 6H₂O (g)

We have to work with density, to solve this question

Density of ammonia = Ammonia mass / Ammonia volume

0,00073 g/mL = Ammonia mass / 6300 mL

(Notice, we had to convert 6.3L to mL)

0.00073 g/mL . 6300 mL = Ammonia mass → 4.599 g

Mass / Molar mass = Mol

4.599 g / 17g/m = 0.270 mole

Ratio is 4:6

4 mole of ammonia produce 6 mole of water

0.270 mole produce (0.270 .6)/4 = 0.405 mol

Molar mass . mole = mass

18 g/m . 0.405 m = 7.30 g

Water density = 1 g/mL

Water density = Water mass / Water Volume

1g/mL = 7.30 g / Water volume

Water volume = 7.3 mL

riadik2000 [5.3K]

Answer is: heat energy.

Braking is the process of controlling the velocity of an object (in this example bicycle) by inhibiting its motion.

Mechanical energy can be either kinetic or potential energy and has to do with the energy of position and motion of an object.

Kinetic energy is energy of the speed of an object and how much mass it has; basically how the object is moving.

Potential energy is type of energy is stored energy; it can be increased by getting into a higher position and/or stretching an object such as a rubber band.

A mechanical brake applies a friction force to convert the kinetic energy of the bicycle into heat energy which then dissipates into the atmosphere.
