A layer of greenhouse gases – primarily water vapor, and including much smaller amounts of carbon dioxide, methane and nitrous oxide – acts as a thermal blanket for the Earth, absorbing heat and warming the surface to a life-supporting average of 59 degrees Fahrenheit (15 degrees Celsius).

Answer:

Global warming is an effect on our planet that is caused by carbon dioxide being trapped in our atmosphere. When the carbon dioxide is trapped, it is bouncing off the bottom layer of the clouds. Some escapes into outer space, but most of it stays. We cause global warming, by using vehicles, making asphalt, burning fossil fuels, and many more.

An effect of global warming is our poles oceans are melting. When our polar caps melt most of the way, we will experience a lot of flooding for many coastal cities. We will also experience extreme weather, like stronger hurricanes, larger thunderstorms, and larger areas effected by other natural disasters.

One thing we can do to stop or slow down these effects is to use vehicles less (or make better vehicles for the environment), stop burning fossil fuels, and make a world-wide law to prevent certain things from commencing. Nuclear bombs are also a problem to global warming. We will hopefully never reach that problem.

The mineral enargite is 48.41% cu, 19.02% as, and 32.57% s by mass. what is the empirical formula of enargite?
LuckyWell [14K]
Empirical formula is the simplest ratio of whole numbers of components in a compound.
Assuming for 100 g of the compound
                                Cu                                 As                             S
mass                      48.41 g                          19.02 g                      32.57 g
number of moles    48.41 / 63.5 g/mol      19.02 / 75 g/mol        32.57 / 32 g/mol
                                = 0.762 mol                = 0.2536 mol            = 1.018 mol
divide by the least number of moles
                               0.762 / 0.2536             0.2536 / 0.2536         1.018 / 0.2536
                               = 3.00                          = 1.00                         = 4.01
once they are rounded off
Cu - 3
As - 1
S - 4
therefore empirical formula is Cu₃AsS₄

How many grams of ammonia gas can be formed from 54.1 g of hydrogen gas
Murrr4er [49]

Answer:

304.19 g

Explanation:

M(H2) = 2*1 = 2 g/mol

54.1 g H2 * 1 mol H2/2gH2 = 27.05 mol H2

                                   3H2 + N2 ------> 2NH3

from reaction             3 mol                  2 mol

given                   27.05 mol                 x mol

x = 27.05*2/3 = 18.03 mol NH3

M(NH3) = 14 +3*1 = 17 g/mol

18.03 mol NH3 * 17 g NH3/ 1 mol NH3 ≈ 307 g

Closeet answer is 304.19 g.
