Answer:

The value of pressure must be increased double times.

Explanation:

pV = nRT ( the Ideal Gas Law ) =>

p = nRT / V

So, when T is doubled, we write 2T to the formula:

p(new pressure) = nR x 2T / V = 2 x p(original)

=> If the temperature of a gas doubles and the volume stays the same, the value of pressure must be increased double times.

I hope this answer can help you. Have a nice day!

PLEASE PLEASE HELP ME!!!A 450 ml gas sample has a pressure of 1.25 atm at 65 °C. What is the temperature, in °C, at which the ga
Arlecino [84]

Answer:

89°C

Explanation:

Combined Gas Law (P₁V₁)/T₁ = (P₂V₂)/T₂

(1.25 atm)(450 mL)/(65°C) = (0.89 atm)(865 mL)/T₂

8.653846154 = 769.85/T₂

T₂ = 769.85/8.653846154

T₂ = 88.96044444 = 89°C

a. the ratio of mass to charge of an electron

Explanation:

The experiment permitted the direct measurement of the ratio of mass to charge of an electron.

  • The charge to mass ratio of an electron was determine by accelerating a beam of cathode rays in magnetic and electric fields.
  • No matter the gas used in the tube or the nature of the material of the electrodes, the rays were found to have constant charge to mass ratio of 1.76 x 10¹¹coulombkg⁻¹.
