1.) -(2n - 12 - n) - 21 - 7 - (-(-4n + 3 - 2n)) - 12

Multiply the - into (2n - 12 - n), and multiply the - into (-4n + 3 - 2n)

-2n + 12 + n - 21 - 7 - (4n - 3 + 2n) - 12

Multiply/distribute the - into (4n - 3 + 2n)

-2n + 12 + n - 21 - 7 - 4n + 3 - 2n - 12

Combine like terms

-7n - 25

2.) -0.2(-9b + 4) - 0.4(2b - 3) + 0.3(b + 6) - 2

Multiply -0.2 into (-9b + 4), multiply -0.4 into (2b - 3), and multiply 0.3 into (b + 6)

1.8b - 0.8 - 0.8b + 1.2 + 0.3b + 1.8 - 2

Combine like terms

1.3b + 0.2

3.) 0.2b + 3(-9b + 4) - 0.4(2b - 3) + 0.3(b + 6 - 2b)

0.2b + 3(-9b + 4) - 0.4(2b - 3) + 0.3(6 - b)

0.2b - 27b + 12 - 0.8b + 1.2 + 1.8 - 0.3b

-27.9b + 15

4.) \frac{2}{3} (9x + 6-18x)-\frac{2}{7}(-7x+10-14x-(-4)-8)

\frac{2}{3} (6-9x)-\frac{2}{7} (-21x+ 6)   Simplify the numbers/variables inside the parentheses first, then multiply 2/3 into (6 - 9x), and multiply -2/7 into (-21x + 6)

4 - 6x + 6x - \frac{12}{7}

\frac{28}{7} - \frac{12}{7} = \frac{16}{7}

16/7

5.) \frac{3}{5} (-(-x +15-11x)) - \frac{1}{4} (13x +12-17x-16)+11

\frac{3}{5} (12x-15)-\frac{1}{4} (-4x-4)+11

\frac{36}{5} x-9+x+1+11

\frac{36}{5} x + 3 + x

\frac{36}{5} x + 3 + \frac{5}{5}x

\frac{41}{5}x + 3

41/5x + 3

Part A: The answer is B.
As vertically opposite angles are equal
x+10=4x-35
10=3x-35
45=3x
x=15

Part B: The answer is D.
We'll substitute in the value of X in one equation.
x+10
=15+10
=25
As the two angles are equal bot must be 25 degrees.

How many solutions does the following equation have? ln(x2 + 4x − 5) = 0
lisov135 [29]
Alrighty
remember
log_a(b)=c means a^c=b
and
ln(x)=log_e(x)
and
x^0=1 for all real values of x
so

ln(x^2+4x-5)=0 means
log_e(x^2+4x-5)=0 means
e^0=x^2+4x-5 which simplifies to
1=x²+4x-5
minus 1 both sides
0=x²+4x-6
use quadratic formula or complete the square
x=-2+\sqrt{10} and x=-2-\sqrt{10}
2 solutions

TOPIC: Forming and Solving Equations (An equation must be included as well please)
Tatiana [17]
1) let both have x ,
so putting in eqn ;

4x+0.50 = 9x-3
5x=2.50
x=0.50

therefore both have 50 p in the beginning !!

2) let the number be x

so in eqn;

(x+18)/2=5x
x+18=10x
9x=18
x=2

so the number must be 2 !!

if you have still any problem, comment !!
