Work is a measure of the energy transferred.

Explanation:

In physics, the work is a measure of the energy transfer.

An example of work done is when a force is pushing an object. The work done by the force on the object is given by:

W=Fd cos \theta

where :

F is the magnitude of the force

d is the displacement

\theta is the angle between the direction of the force and of the displacement

When the force is applied on the object, work is done, and the object accelerates, gaining kinetic energy. This means that energy has been converted from another form into kinetic energy of the object. Therefore, work is also a measure of the energy transferred (in this case, in fact, the work done is equal to the kinetic energy gained by the object): therefore, it has the same units of the energy, Joules (J).

If the distance from a light source triples, how does light intensity change? The intensity will be 3x greater. The intensity wi
Tcecarenko [31]

Answer:

The intensity will be 1/9 as much.

Explanation:

The intensity of the light or any source is inversely related to the square of the distance.

I\alpha \frac{1}{r^{2} }

Now according to the question the distance is increased by three times than,

\frac{I_{2} }{I_{1} }=\frac{r_{1}^{2} }{r_{2}^{2} }

Therefore,

\frac{I_{2} }{I_{1} }=\frac{r_{1}^{2} }{(3r_{1})^{2} }\\\frac{I_{2} }{I_{1} }=\frac{1}{9} \\{I_{2}=\frac{1}{9}{I_{1} }

Therefore the intensity will become 1/9 times to the initial intensity.

shutvik [7]
"Sedimentary rocks are types of rock that are formed by the deposition of material at the Earth's surface and within bodies of water. Sedimentation is the collective name for processes that cause mineral and/or organic particles (detritus) to settle and accumulate or minerals to precipitate from a solution."
