Answer:

Hey Geny. The best guide to the covalent or ionic character of a bond is to consider the types of atoms involved and their relative positions in the periodic table. Bonds between two nonmetals are generally covalent; bonding between a metal and a nonmetal is often ionic. Some compounds contain both covalent and ionic bonds.

(Hope this helps) Sky

What is the correct balanced equation for the following equilibrium constant expression?
weeeeeb [17]
The correct answer is 3) 2CO2(g) ⇄ 2CO(g) + O2(g)

this is the correct one because it is a decomposition reaction and all the number of atoms is equal on both sides.

there are 2 C atoms on both sides.

and 4 O atoms on both sides.

and 1) the atoms numbers are equal on both sides but not correct as it not a

correct number as it has 1/2 O2.

and 2) CO2(g) ⇆ CO(g) + O2

the number of O atoms is not equal on both sides of the equation.

we have 2 O atoms on the left side and 3 O atoms on the right side.

so, this not a balanced equation.

4) also not correct 2CO(g) + O2 ⇆ 2CO2

as it is not a decomposition reaction and the 2CO & O2 are as reactants not products.

so the correct answer is 3) 2CO2(g) ⇆ 2CO(g) + O2(g)

Mechanical twinning occurs in metals having which type(s) of crystal structure(s)?
kari74 [83]
Mechanical twinning occurs in metals having body center cubic and hexagonal closed packed structures. Twinning is said to occur when a portion of a crystal takes up an orientation that is related to the orientation of the untwinned lattice in a definite symmetrical manner.

Can somebody plz answer this question only in 1-2 sentences! That would be great thanks so much :)
lbvjy [14]

Pure substances are substances which are homogenous in nature. They either consists of atoms of 1 kind or molecules of 1 kind. Atoms are seen in elements, where as molecules are seen in compounds like Acids, Bases, etc.

They mostly have fixed properties like boiling and melting points and are uniform in nature. :D
