I don’t understand the question
If you mean
7m-4
M=8, this is the solution
7(8)-4
56-4
=52
But if you mean
7m- - 4
As in - + - = +
Then this is your answer
7(8)+4
56+4
=60

One number is 7 less than another. If 4 times the smaller number plus 2 times the larger number is 62, find the two numbers.
Nana76 [90]
X=Y-7

4X+2Y=62

4(Y-7)+2Y=62

4Y-28+2Y=62

6Y=62+28

6Y=90

Y=90/6

Y=15
Larger number^

X=15-7=8
Smaller number^
PROOF:
4*8+2*15=62

32+30=62

62=62
Hope this helps.

Can someone please help me with math
vodka [1.7K]

Answer:

B

Step-by-step explanation:

Hey There!

they are asking for the equation in slope intercept form

Slope intercept form is y=mx+b

where m equals slope and b equals y intercept

to find the slope we do change in y over chang in x

as y goes up 2 x goes down 5 so the slope would be -2/5

the y intercept is at (0,4) so the y intercept is 4

now we add everything together and get that the equation in slope intercept form is

y=-2/5x+4

so we can conclude that the answer is B

Yanka [14]
The first statement is correct. The two events are independent because Roger winning does not affect Stephan's chances. The probability that both events occur is found by multiplying the probabilities together.
