Kesha is in charge of dying boiled eggs with her cousins, C.J and Carvin. She read on the directions that you add 2 tablespoons

of vinegar to the jar, then add dye tablet, and stir carefully. She decided to add 2 tablespoons of vinegar to one jar, 4 tablespoons of vinegar to the second jar, and 1 tablespoon of vinegar to the third jar.

Independent: The amount of vinegar

Dependent: The dye result on the egg

The independent variable is what is being changed, which in this case, is the amount of vinegar being added to each jar. The dependent variable is what is being measured or observed.
