To understand the meaning of the variables in Gauss's law, and the conditions under which the law is applicable. Gauss's law is

usually writtenΦE=∫ E.dA =qencl/ϵ0where ϵ0=8.85×10^−12C^2/(N⋅m^2) is the permittivity of vacuum.How should the integral in Gauss's law be evaluated?

Answer:

Over a closed surface

Explanation:

Gauss's law: It states that the total electric flux passing through the closed surface is equal to \frac{1}{\epsilon_0} times the total charge enclosed within the surface.

Mathematically representation :

Electric flux=\phi=\oint E\cdot dA=\frac{q}{\epsilon_0}

Where q=Total charge enclosed within surface

\epsilon=8.85\times 10^{-12}C^2/Nm^2=Permittivity  of vacuum

Therefore,the integral in Gauss's law should be evaluated over a closed surface.

Circle in the integration mean closed we can say that closed integral.

malfutka [58]

Answer:

T_2 = 77.5c

Explanation:

From the question we are told that

Temp of first boltsT_1=100

Temp of 2nd bolt T_2=55

Generally the equation showing the relationship between  heat & temperature is given by

  q=cm \triangle T

Generally heat released  by the iron bolt  = heat gained by the iron bolt

Generally solving mathematically

     -(0.45*m* (T_2-100  \textdegree c)) = 0.45*m*(T_2 -55\textdegree c)

     -(T_2-100 \textdegree c)) = (T_2 -55 \textdegree c)

      T_2 +T_2= 100 \textdegree c+55 \textdegree c

      T_2=\frac{155 \textdegree c}{2}

      T_2 = 77.5 \textdegree c

Therefore T_2 = 77.5 \textdegree c is the final temperature inside the container

Depth of a pond seems shallower than real depth,why?
IgorLugansk [536]

Answer:

The refraction of light at the surface of water makes ponds and swimming pools appear shallower than they really are. A 1m deep pond would only appear to be 0.75 m deep when viewed from directly above. When light emerges from glass or water into air it speeds up again.
