Answer:

<em>The green car had the greatest momentum</em>

Explanation:

<u>Momentum</u>

Momentum can be defined as "mass in motion" and is calculated as the product of the mass of the object by its velocity.

Being v the magnitude of the velocity and m the mass of the object, the momentum is calculated with:

p = mv

The green car had a mass of m1=1200 kg and crossed the finish line at v1=53 m/s. Hence, its momentum was:

p1 = 1200 Kg * 53 m/s = 63600 Kg.m/s

The red car had a mass of m2=1100 kg and crossed the finish line at v2=55 m/s. Hence, its momentum was:

p2 = 1100 Kg * 55 m/s = 60500 Kg.m/s

Since p1 > p2, then the green car had the greatest momentum

A current of 16.0 mA is maintained in a single circular loop of 1.90 m circumference. A magnetic field of 0.790 T is directed pa
pav-90 [236]

Answer

given,

current (I) = 16 mA

circumference of the circular loop (S)= 1.90 m

Magnetic field (B)= 0.790 T

S = 2 π r

1.9 = 2 π r

r = 0.3024 m

a) magnetic moment of loop

    M= I A

    M=16 \times 10^{-3} \times \pi \times r^2

   M=16 \times 10^{-3} \times \pi \times 0.3024^2

   M=4.59 \times 10^{-3}\ A m^2

b)  torque exerted in the loop

 \tau = M\ B

 \tau = 4.59 \times 10^{-3}\times 0.79

 \tau = 3.63 \times 10^{-3} N.m

devlian [24]
Force acting during collision is internal so momentum is conserve so (initial momentum = final momentum) in both directions Two cars collide at an icy intersection and stick together afterward. The first car has a mass of 1150 kg and was approaching at 5.00 m/s due south. The second car has a mass of 750 kg and was approaching at 25.0 m/s due west. Let Vx is and Vy are final velocities of car in +x and +y direction respectively. initial momentum in +ve x (east) direction = final momentum in +ve x direction (east)

- 750*25 + 1150*0 = (750+1150)
Vx initial momentum in +ve y (north) direction = final momentum in +ve y direction (north)

750*0 - 1150*5 = (750+1150)
Vy from here you can calculate Vx and Vy so final velocity V is
