What is the chemical formula for nickel (ii) hypochlorite?
gtnhenbr [62]
The chemical formula of nickel (ii) hypochlorite is Ni(CIO)2. Nickel (II) has a charge of +2 while (CIO-) which is a poly atomic ion of chlorine and oxygen has a charge of -1. After balancing the charge of nickel with that of CIO- you get the chemical formula as Ni(CIO)2.

What mass of water is formed when 16g of hydrogen react with excess oxygen
artcher [175]

Hello!

To start off, we must look at atomic masses. Atoms all have different weights, so we must first find hydrogen and oxygen's atomic masses.

Oxygen: 16.00 amu

Hydrogen: 1.01 amu

Now, moving on to the weight of water itself. Water has the formula of H20, with two hydrogen atoms and one oxygen. Therefore, add up the amus to get the weight of one molecule of water.

1.01 + 1.01 + 16.00 = 18.02 amu

Now, to see the ratio of each component. Since hydrogen weighs a total of 2.02 amu (1.01 + 1.01) in the entire atom, we can state that hydrogen makes up about 0.112 of the weight of water. Now apply that ratio to 16 g, and solve.

0.112x = 16

142.857143 = x

So therefore, about 143 grams of water are made when 16g of hydrogen reacts with excess oxygen.

Hope this helps!

if you had to explain to someone the difference between heat and temperature, how could you use one of the following to demonstr
Rainbow [258]

Answer:

We associate paper money or points in video games, as molecules that make a heat transfer or an increasin in its temperature.

Explanation:

The meaning of heat is associated with an energy transfer, where for example if we put a spoon in a cup of hot drink, the drink will be transferring heat to the spoon. It is a transfer of energy between two bodies due to a difference between their temperatures.

Temperature is associated with the movement of kinetic energy of the molecules. When the temperature is higher, the kinetic energy is higher, so as more detained they are, temperature will be lower.

If we take paper money as molecules, the greater movement of money explains that we have an increase in temperature (we would be hot), even if we think of video games, for example gambling where as more points we gain, we generate an increase in the movement of "molecules".

When we use paper money to buy something we are doing a heat transfer.

We can associate terms to the Thermodynamic where

Heat = Internal energy + work

For clearance would be

Internal energy = Heat - Work

The money we use less the work we do keeps our internal energy. If in a gambling video game, we earn points over and over again, when withdrawing the prize we perform "heat transfer".

Which models of the atom include a structure that is mostly made of empty space?RutherfordThomsonBohrQuantum mechanical
Luba_88 [7]

Answer:

Rutherford's models

Explanations:

What is the electron cloud model?

There are known as the region where electrons are found especially in the nucleus.

According to the five basic atomic models which have contributed to the structure of the atom itself, the Rutherford's models of the atom include a structure that is mostly made of empty space compared to thomson that proposed the plum pudding model of the atom
