Explanation:

The number of moles is a more expressive unit in chemical calculations.

A mole is a convenient unit of quantity of particles. It is likened to a quantity of things like in our everyday life.

A mole is like a dozen, gross or score.

A dozen is 12 units of substance.

A gross is 144 units and a score is 24.

 • A mole also is 6.02 x 10²³particles .

A mole is the amount of of a substance mass or volume that contains Avogadro's number of particles i.e 6.02 x 10²³

 • The particles are protons, neutrons, electrons, atoms, molecules e.t.c
 • These are more specific to chemistry.

The mole is very essential to quantitative chemistry.

Who proposed the "Law of Octaves" for organizing events?
djyliett [7]

b

Explanation:

February 7, 1863, was the day John Newlands published a paper outlining what would be known as “The Law of Octaves”. Newlands discovered if he ordered the known elements by increasing atomic weight, the chemical properties of the elements would be similar for every eighth group

Which of these safety features aims to keep nuclear radiation contained
rewona [7]

The safety feature aimed at keeping nuclear radiation contained is steel-reinforced concrete.

What is nuclear power plant?

A nuclear power plant is a building with reactors that contain controlled nuclear reactions to produce energy.

Nuclear power plants are able to generate warm water by using atomic properties of matter (i.e.,m the process of nuclear fission), which is in turn converted into steam to move turbines.

The walls of nuclear power reactors are composed of steel-reinforced concrete in order to avoid radiation release.

In conclusion, the safety standard property that maintains nuclear radiation contained is steel-reinforced concrete.

WILL GIVE BRAINLIEST
Explain why HS2 has a bent geometry, while BeH2 has a linear geometry.
Natali5045456 [20]

Answer:

H2S has a bent geometry, while BeH2 has a linear geometry because: presence of lone pair in H2S

Absence of Lone pair in BeH2

Explanation:

Structure of H2S :

Atomic number of S = 16 = 1s(2 )2s(2) 2p(6) 3s(2 )3p(4)

Outer most shell has 6 electron

Valence electron (Involved in bonding) = 6

Out of these 6 electrons ,

2 electrons are formed in bonding with Hydrogen

Rest 4 are non- bonding and present as lone - pair

H2S exist - sp3 hybridisation

There are 2-Lone pair on S in H2S (look at the image attached)

Structure of H2S :

Atomic number of Be = 4 = 1s(2 ) 2s(2)

Valence electron (Involved in bonding) = 2

These 2- electron are involved in bonding with two Hydrogen and form liner shape.*Form sp - hybridized

Hence shape is linear because it has non - lone pair.

VSEPR : According to this theory lone pair causes repulsion to the bond and cause unstability in the molecule.

Hence the bonds shifts away from lone pairs . This is why H-S bonds in H2S shifts way from lone pair

The wavelength idea of the wave-mechanical model refers to what?
Virty [35]
The wave idea derives from the electrons' behavior about the nucleus of an atom, and it follows Heisenberg's Uncertainty Principle and draws away from Bohr's planetary model of the atom.
