At what temperature are the liquid and the vapour of Bromine in equilibrium (e.g. boiling point)?
irina [24]

Explanation:

Boiling point is defined as the point at which liquid state and vapor state of a substance are existing in equilibrium.

Equilibrium is defined as the state in which rate of forward and rate of backward reaction are equal to each other.

For example, Br(l) \rightleftharpoons Br(g)

So, when we boil bromine which is present in liquid state then at the boiling point its vapors will exist in equilibrium. And unless all the liquid state of bromine will not convert into vapors its temperature will not change.

Therefore, we can conclude that at boiling point the liquid and the vapur of Bromine are in equilibrium.

Carbon Monoxide is a toxic gas that is colorless and tasteless. How many moles of CO are in 1 L of the gas at STP?
Debora [2.8K]

Answer:

0.045 moles

Explanation:

Given data:

Moles of CO = ?

Volume of gas = 1 L

Temperature and pressure = standard

Solution:

The given problem will be solve by using general gas equation,

PV = nRT

P= Pressure

V = volume

n = number of moles

R = general gas constant = 0.0821 atm.L/ mol.K

T = temperature in kelvin

n = PV/RT

n = 1 atm× 1L / 0.0821 atm.L/mol.K × 273 K

n = 1 atm.L / 22.41 atm.L/mol

n = 0.045 mol

Describe how antibodies protect your body against disease when exposed to a virus
Ludmilka [50]
When children are small they are given vaccines that are usually dead viruses given to the body. These viruses don't cause damage to body and the body takes it as a real virus and prepare antibodies in the body but when a certain real disease or virus is in the body , the already presented antibodies fight with them for the protection of the body. These antibodies remain in the body so that when a disease or virus attacks the body the antibodies are already geared up to fight against them. Thus antibodies protect the body against invading microbes or viruses.

ANTONII [103]

Answer: The vertical columns on the periodic table are called groups or families because of their similar chemical behavior. All the members of a family of elements have the same number of valence electrons and similar chemical properties. The horizontal rows on the periodic table are called periods
