How many grams of CO2 are in 2.52 mol of CO2? Show using demential analysis

Chemistry

Answer:

110.88g

Explanation:

Given parameters:

Mass of CO₂   = 2.52mole

Unknown:

Mass of CO₂ in the given mole  = ?

Solution:

To solve this problem, we use the mole concept.

   Number of moles (mol)  = \frac{mass(g)}{molar mass(g/mol)}

So;

     Mass (g)  = Number of moles(mol) x molar mass(g/mol)

 Molar mass of CO₂   =  12 + 2(16)  = 44g/mol

      Mass(g)  = 2.52 mole x   44g/mole

      Mass(g)  = 110.88g

A vessel with a volume of 32. 5 l contains 2. 80 g of n2 gas, 0. 403 g of h2 gas, and 79. 9 g of ar gas. at 25°c, what is the to
d1i1m1o1n [39]

The total pressure of the gases in the vessel is found out by using the partial pressures of individual gases and adding them up. The total pressure of the gases in the vessel is 1.72 atm.

The Partial pressure of the gases is the individual pressure of the gases present in a vessel containing a mixture of gases. The total pressure can be found out by adding partial pressure of all gases.

Given:

Volume of vessel, V= 32.5L

Mass of Nitrogen gas = 2.8g

Mass of Hydrogen gas = 0.403g

Mass of Argon gas = 79.9g

We know that:

             Molar Mass of Nitrogen gas = 28g

             Molar Mass of Hydrogen gas = 2g

             Molar Mass of Argon gas = 40g

∴ Moles of gas = Given mass / Molar mass

∴ Using the Ideal Gas Equation:

PV = nRT

where, P is the Pressure of gas

V is the volume of gas

n is the moles of gas

R is the Universal Gas constant

T is the temperature

Applying the above equation of all three gases indivudually,

∴ For Nitrogen,

P₁V = n₁RT

⇒ P₁ × 32.5 = 2.8/28 × 0.082 × 298

⇒ P₁ = 0.07atm

∴ For Hydrogen,

P₂V = n₂RT

⇒ P₂ × 32.5 = 0.4/2 × 0.082 × 298

⇒ P₂ = 0.15 atm

∴ For Argon,

P₃V = n₃RT

⇒ P₃ × 32.5 = 79.9/40 × 0.082 × 298

⇒ P₃ = 1.5 atm

∴ Total pressure of vessel, P = P₁ + P₂ + P₃

                                         P = 1.72 atm

The total pressure of the gases in the vessel is 1.72 atm.

15.50 g of NH4Cl reacts with an excess of AgNO3. In the reaction 35.50 g AgCl is produced. what is the theoretical yield of AgCl
Shkiper50 [21]

Answer:

41.56 g

Explanation:

Given data:

Mass of NH₄Cl = 15.50 g

Actual yield of AgCl = 35.50 g

Theoretical yield of AgCl = ?

Solution:

Chemical equation:

NH₄Cl  + AgNO₃      →     AgCl   + NH₄NO₃

Number of moles of NH₄Cl:

Number of moles = mass/ molar mass

Number of moles = 15.50 g/ 53.491 g/mol

Number of moles = 0.29 mol

Now we will compare the moles of NH₄Cl with   AgCl .

                     NH₄Cl            :               AgCl

                        1                  :                 1

                     0.29              :                0.29

Theoretical yield of AgCl:

Mass = number of moles × molar mass

Mass = 0.29 mol ×143.32 g/mol

Mass = 41.56 g

Your teacher asked you to identify the stage of mitosis of a specimen under the microscope. You observed that instead of a typic
yKpoI14uk [10]

Answer:

D. Cytokinesis

Explanation:

Mitosis is the cell division that involves the synthesis of two genetically identical daughter cells. Mitotic division occurs in stages namely: prophase, metaphase, anaphase and telophase. Following this four processes is another called CYTOKINESIS

Cytokinesis, which occurs after nuclear division, is the division of the cytoplasm. According to this question, the observation made when viewing the specimen was that "the cell has a narrow middle part which almost separates into two bulging ends and which looks like the number 8". This described the process of CYTOKINESIS in plant cell specifically.
