Answer:

Because the Moon casts a smaller shadow than Earth does, eclipses of the Sun tightly constrain where you can see them. If the Moon completely hides the Sun, even for a moment, the eclipse is considered total.

There were 2 solar and 2 lunar eclipses in 2014.

That was pretty durn close to the averages for the whole 20th Century ... 2.22 solar per year, and 2.21 lunar per year.

So I don't think there's anything about 2014 that needs an explanation, because there were not "so few" of them in that year.

A magnetic B field of strength 0.4 T is perpendicular to a loop with an area of 1 m2. If the area of the loop is reduced to zero
Norma-Jean [14]

Answer:

The magnitude of the induced e.m.f is 571 mV

Explanation:

Given;

magnetic field strength, B = 0.4T

area of the loop, A = 1m²

time = 0.7s

Since the angle of inclination of the magnetic field, then the direction of the induced e.m.f, θ = 0

According to faraday's law; the induced emf is directly proportional to the rate of change of flux.

Thus, magnitude of the induced e.m.f is given as

E.M.F = \frac{\delta \phi}{\delta t} \\\\\phi = BAcos \theta =  BAcos0 = BA\\\\E.M.F = \frac{0.4 X1}{0.7} = 0.571 V
