Cuando un gas que se encuentra a 20°c se calienta hasta los 40°c sin que varie su presion, su volumen se duplica

Chemistry

Answer:

Not doubled

Explanation:

The equation below represent the ideal gases relationship

PV ÷ T = constant

Here

P denotes pressure,

V denotes volume,

T denotes temperature in degrees Kelvin

Now

20 ° c = 273 + 20

= 293 K

And,

40 ° c = 313 K

So,

V = Vo. 313 K ÷  293 K = 1.07 Vo

So,  the volume is NOT doubled.

In the case when the temperature would be determined in degrees celsius at 0 degrees so the volume would be zero

When 28242 J are transferred to water sample, its temperature increases 18⁰C to 63⁰C. Determine the mass of the water sample.
ivanzaharov [21]

Answer:

149.79

Explanation:

Formula

Joules = m * c * delta (t)

Givens

J = 28242

m = ?

c = 4.19

Δt = 63 - 18 = 45

Solution

28242 = m * 4.19 * 45

28242 = m * 188.55

m = 28242 / 188.55

m = 149.79

Describe light with respect to its speed and its dual nature as both a wave and a particle.
Sedbober [7]

Answer:

Scientists have been debating over light being a wave or particle since its recognition.

Sir Issac Newton discovered that light had frequency and other properties. Newton described light to be a particle because it created shadows which were sharp and very clear.

Francesco Maria Grimaldi, claimed that light was a wave. This was because this scientist observed the diffraction of light and hence, claimed light to be a type of wave.

The speed of light is 299 792 458 m / s. Nothing can travel faster than light.

How do you know sodium is highly reactive?
Stells [14]
<span>Na (sodium) is highly electropositive. Its has 1 electron in its outermost orbit which is transferred to an electronegative atom to form an ionic bond.

It only needs to get rid of one valence electron to take part in a reaction. That's how it's highly reactive.</span>

What is the percent yield of a reaction in which 47.5 g tungsten (VI) oxide (WO3) reacts with excess hydrogen gas to produce met
Katarina [22]

Answer:

The percent yield of a reaction is 85.04%

Explanation:

:WO_3+3H_2\rightarrow W+3H_2O

Mass of WO_3 = 47.5g

Molar mass of WO_3 = 232 g/mole

Molar mass of H_2O= 18 g/mole

Volume of water obtained from the reaction , V= 9.40mL

Mass of water = m = Experimental yield of water

Density of water = d = 1.00 g/mL

M=d\times V = 1.00 g/mL\times 9.40 mL=9.40 g

Moles of tungsten(VI) oxide =\frac{47.5 g}{232 g/mol}=0.2047 mol

According to recation 1 mole of tungsten(VI) oxide gives 3 moles of water, then 0.2047 moles of tungsten(VI) oxide will give:

\frac{3}{1}\times 0.2047 mol=0.6141 mol

Mass of 0.6141 moles of water:

0.6141 mol × 18 g/mol = 11.054 g

To calculate the percentage yield of reaction , we use the equation:

% yield = {\frac{Experimental yield}{theoretical yield} \times 100

\frac{9.40}{11.054} \times 100\\\\= 85.04

The percent yield of a reaction is 85.04%
