The original concentration : 800%

<h3>Further explanation</h3>

Given

Diluted 1/40

Final concentration 20%

Required

The original concentration

Solution

Dilution is the process of adding solvent to get a more dilute solution.

The moles(n) before and after dilution are the same.

Can be formulated :

 n₁ = n₂

M₁.V₁ = M₂.V₂

diluted 1/40(dilution factor)⇒ V₁/V₂=1/40⇒V₂/V₁=40

M₂ = 0.2(20%)

Input the value for M₁ :

M₁=M₂ x (V₂/V₁)

M₁ = 0.2 x 40

M₂ = 8(800%)

If i initially have a gas with a pressure of 84 kpa and a temperature of 350 c and i heat it an additional 230 degrees, what wil
Ganezh [65]

Answer:

67.824

Explanation:  You want to use the combined gas law equation (P1*V1)/(n1*T1)=(P2*V2)/(n2*T2). So first cross out what remains constant, so volume(V) and I assume moles (since it was not mentioned as a change). Then you can solve algebraically for the answer!

Hope this helped!

A 21.8 g sample of ethanol (C2H5OH) is burned in a bomb calorimeter, according to the following reaction. If the temperature ris
Blababa [14]

<u>Answer:</u> The heat capacity of calorimeter is 15.66J/^oC

<u>Explanation:</u>

To calculate the number of moles, we use the equation:

\text{Number of moles}=\frac{\text{Given mass}}{\text{Molar mass}}

Given mass of ethanol = 21.8 g

Molar mass of ethanol = 46.07 g/mol

Putting values in above equation, we get:

\text{Moles of ethanol}=\frac{21.8g}{46.07g/mol}=0.473mol

To calculate the enthalpy change of the reaction, we use the equation:

\Delta H_{rxn}=\frac{q}{n}

where,

q = amount of heat released = ?

n = number of moles = 0.473 moles

\Delta H_{rxn} = enthalpy change of the reaction  = -1235 kJ/mol = -1235\times 10^3J/mol     (Conversion factor:  1 kJ = 1000 J)

Putting values in above equation, we get:

-1235\times 10^3J/mol=\frac{q}{0.473mol}\\\\q=(-1235\times 10^3J/mol\times 0.473mol)=-584.16\times 10^3J

To calculate the heat capacity of calorimeter, we use the equation:

q=c\Delta T

where,

q = heat absorbed by the calorimeter = 584.16\times 10^3J

c = heat capacity = ?

\Delta T = change in temperature = T_2-T_1=62.3^oC-25^oC=37.3^oC

Putting values in above equation, we get:

584.16\times 10^3J=c\times 37.3^oC\\\\c=\frac{584.16\times 10^3J}{37.3^oC}=15.66J/^oC

Hence, the heat capacity of calorimeter is 15.66J/^oC

Match each land resource to its use.
finlep [7]

Answer:

Explanation:

We are to match each land resource to what they are being used for.

Clay             →→→  used to make pottery and tiles

iron ore       →→→  used to make steel

Salt              →→→   used as a flavoring in food

aggregate   →→→   used in construction

graphite       →→→ used to make batteries

Clay is a kind of soil particle that forms as a result of weathering processes. Examples include; pottery clays, glacial clays, and deep-sea clays e.t.c. The presence of one or more clay minerals, as well as variable quantities of organic and detrital components, characterizes all of them. Clay is usually sticky and moist when wet, but hard when dry. They are used in the making of tiles and potteries.

Iron ore:  The iron ore deposits are found in the Earth's crust's sedimentary rocks. They're made up of iron and oxygen that mix during the chemical process in marine and freshwater. iron ores are used to produce almost every iron and steel product that we use today.

Aggregate: are utilized in construction activities. It is a material used to mix cement, gypsum, bitumen, or lime to produce concrete in the construction industry.

Graphite: Graphite is a mineral that occurs in both igneous and metamorphic rocks. It is generally generated on the earth's surface when carbon is exposed to high temperatures and pressures. It is mainly used in the production of batteries and electrodes,

Balance the following reaction. A coefficient of "1" is understood. Choose option "blank" for the correct answer if the coeffici
CaHeK987 [17]
Answer : To balance a chemical equation you need to find the same number of molecules on both the sides of the reaction.

Here in the reaction ;

KI + Pb (NO_{3})_{2}----\ \textgreater \  Pb I_{2} + KNO_{3}

here we can see that I is not balanced so we need to balance that,
also nitrate is unbalanced we need to work on that as well.

so on solving we get,
2KI + Pb (NO_{3})_{2}----\ \textgreater \ Pb I_{2} + 2KNO_{3}
