ANSWER:

_____________________________________

Why is there no reaction between silver and copper (II) nitrate?

For the reaction to occur, it is necessary that the metal which replaces the metal from the compound LIES above that metal in the ELECTROCHEMICAL SERIES(ECS). The metal in the compound here is Copper (II) nitrate where as the metal trying to displace is silver. Silver lies below the copper in a ECS, that means Copper is more reactive than silver. The reaction is not possible because more reactive metal displaces less reactive metal from its compound, and silver is LESS reactive than copper so it cant displace the copper from copper nitrate.

_____________________________________

THE ELECTROCHEMICAL SERIES IS ATTACHED BELOW

kolbaska11 [484]

Answer:

The metric system goes by powers of ten, so it's very easy to measure. That would be the main advantage, measurements of ten. We can also say it's the most used measurement around the world, so all scientists have little to no conversion, but the main answer is probably the first one :)
