Answer:

F₀ /k .

Explanation:

Force is variable

F=F₀ e^{-kx}

kinetic energy = work done by force

= ∫ F dx

= ∫F₀ e^{-kx} dx

= F₀ e^{-kx} / -k

E = F₀ e^{-kx} / -k

= -F₀ /(k e^{kx} )

For maximum E , e^{kx} should be minimum ,

e^{kx} is minimum for x = 0

maximum value of E = F₀ /k .

A heat engine operating between energy reservoirs at 20?c and 600?c has 30% of the maximum possible efficiency.
Anarel [89]
The maximum possible efficiency, i.e the efficiency of a Carnot engine , is give by the ratio of the absolute temperatures of hot and cold reservoir.
η_max = 1 - (T_c/T_h)

For this engine:
η_max = 1 - [ (20 +273)K/(600 + 273)K ] = 0.66 = 66%

The actual efficiency of the engine is 30%, i.e.
η = 0.3 ∙ 0.664 = 0.20 = 20 %

On the other hand thermal efficiency is defined as the ratio of work done to the amount of heat absorbed from hot reservoir:
η = W/Q_h

So the heat required from hot reservoir is:
Q_h = W/η = 1000J / 0.20 = 5000J

The density of water is 1.00 g/cm3. What is its density in kg/m3?
r-ruslan [8.4K]
1 g = 1 ÷ 1000 kg
= 0.001 kg

1 cm³ = 1 ÷ 100 ÷ 100 ÷ 100 m³
= 0.000001 m³

1 g/cm³ = 1 g / 1 cm³
= 0.001 kg / 0.000001 m³
= 1000 kg/m³

The density is 1000 kg/m³.

Define orbital velocity
sveta [45]

the Orbital Velocity is the velocity sufficient to cause a natural or artificial satellite to remain in orbit. Inertia of the moving body tends to make it move on in a straight line, while gravitational force tends to pull it down. The orbital path, elliptical or circular, representing a balance between gravity and inertia, and it follows a rue that states that the more massive the body at the centre of attraction is, the higher is the orbital velocity for a particular altitude or distance.
