Answer:

Empirical formula = K₂SO₄

The name of the compound is Potassium tetraoxosulfate (vi)

Explanation:

Percentage composition of the elements:

Potassium = 44.82%

Sulfur = 18.39%

Oxygen = 36.79%

Mole ratio of the elements:

Potassium = 44.82/39 =1.15

Sulfur = 18.39/32 = 0.57

Oxygen = 36.79/16 = 2.29

Dividing by the smallest ratio in order to obtain the simplest ratio

Potassium = 1.15/0.57 =2

Sulfur = 0.57/0.57 = 1

Oxygen = 2.29/0.57 = 4

Therefore, the mole ratio of Potassium : Sulfur : Oxygen = 2:1:4

Empirical formula = K₂SO₄

The name of the compound is Potassium tetraoxosulfate (vi)

This is 25 points. Pick any of the 6 questions and show how you did it. I just need to see how you do it and get the answer. You
FromTheMoon [43]
I choose question 1, so molarity is the concentration of a soulution expressed as the number of moles of solute by the litress of soulution. to get molarity you divide the moles of soulute by the litress of solution. soo 1 calculate the number of moles of solute present. 2 Calculate the number of litress solution present. 3. divide the number of moles of solute by the number of litress of solution
soo 1 mol of NaOH has a mass of 40.00 g, so moles of NaOH= 26.7. 1 mole divided 40.00 = 0.375. litress of solution = 650 g. im not sure why its a g i usally do it Ls so i guess its the way your teacher wants you to do it so do you know how to do that. so molarity = moles of solute and litress solution. sorry this probably didnt help i just wanted to add something that might help. im still working on this stuff myself hope this helps.

The compound 1-iodododecane is a nonvolatile liquid with a density of 1.20g/ml. the density of mercury is 13.6g/ml. part a what
valina [46]

As the atmospheric pressure is, P = dgh

Here d is the density of the mercury,

g is gravitation = 9.8 m/s²

h is height of the column, P = 751 torr = (751 torr × 1 atm / 760 torr) (101325 Pa) (1 N/m² / 1 Pa) = 100125 N/m²

Where, 1 N = 1 Kg / ms²

Thus, P = 100125 Kg / m³. s²

Therefore, height of the mercury column, when the atmospheric pressure is 751 torr,

h = P / gd

= (100125 kg / m³. s²) / (9.8 m/s²) (13.6 × 10³ kg / m³) = 0.751 m

As, d₁h₁ = d₂h₂

Here, d₁ is the density of the non-volatile liquid = 1.20 g/ml

d₂ is the density of the mercury = 13.6 g/ml

h₂ = 0.751 m

Thus, putting the values we get,

h₁ = d₂h₂ /d₁ = 13.6 g/ml × 0.751 m / 1.20 g/ml

= 8.5 m
