Answer:

so its the first option

Explanation:

Concave lenses create only virtual images. After the rays are refracted, they never converge and so there will be no real images. All concave lens images will be upright, virtual, and diminished, and can be found between the F and the lens

Answer the question below:
Bezzdna [24]

Answer:

D) the decay rates of radioactive uranium and lead

Explanation:

As we know that when she found the substance it must have some fixed ratio of radioactive uranium and Lead in that substance.

Here since Uranium is radioactive substance so it will continuously convert into Lead and this ratio will change with time

So here we can say that the ratio of radioactive uranium and lead will depend on its decay rate

now to find the age of the substance we can find the present ratio of lead and uranium in that substance and then compare it with freshly prepared substance.

so by the formula

we can find the age of the sample

A voltmeter with resistance rv is connected across the terminals of a battery of emf e and internal resistance r. Find the poten
Agata [3.3K]

Answer:

V = I(R+r)

Explanation:

According to ohms law, the current (I) passing through a metallic conductor at constant temperature is directly proportional to the potential difference (V) across its end.

Mathematically, V= IR where V is the potential difference

I is the current

R is resistance

Given emf (E) = IRt... (1)

where E is the emf

Rt is the total equivalent resistance

The external resistance Rv is connected in series with the internal resistance 'r' to give total equivalent resistance Rt = (R+r)

Substituting in equation 1

E = I(R+r)

The equivalent potential difference V = I(R+r)

A series-parallel circuit consists of two parallel circuits connected in series across a 45-V source. One parallel branch consis
musickatia [10]

Answer:

The answer to the question is

The current  through R4 = 0.5865 mA

Explanation:

To solve this we list out the known thus

Voltage source = 45-V

Firsrt parallel circiuit has resistances of R1 = 17 kΩ and R2 = 23 kΩ

Second parallel circiuit has resistances of R3 = 45 kΩ and R4 = 55 kΩ

we first find the current flowing in the circuit by finding thr sum of the total resistance in eah parallel circuit

Firsrt parallel circiuit, for circuit in parallel, sum of resistance 1/RT1 = 1/ R1 + 1/R2 = 1/17+1/23 =  0.1023017 therefore RT1 = 1/0.1023017 = 9.775 kΩ

Similarly we have for the second parallel circuit 1/RT2 = 1/R3 + 1/R4

= 1/45 + 1/55 =  0.0404 Hence RT2 = 1/0.0404 = 24.75 kΩ

This means that the 9.775 kΩ and the 24.75 kΩ are in series hence total resistance of the circuit = sum of all resistances in series

= 9.775 kΩ + 24.75 kΩ = 34.525 kΩ

However current, I is given by V/R = 45-V/34.525 kΩ = 1.303 × 10⁻³ A or 1.303 mA

From the current divider rule, I4 = I × (R4/(R3+R4)

That is the currrent flowing throuhgh R4 = 1.303  × (45/(45+55)) = 0.5865 mA

You are riding a bicycle. You apply a forward force of 150 N, and you and the bicycle have a combined mass of 90 kg. What is the
Ymorist [56]

Answer

1.667 m/s²

Using the Newton's second law of motion;

force is directly proportional to the rate of change of momentum and it takes place in the direction of force.

i.e F = change in momentum

F = (mv - mu)/t

   =m(v-u)/t

   = ma

∴ F =ma

  a = F/m

      = 150/90

      = 1.667 m/s²
