Answer:

20 kg*m/s

Explanation:

we're looking for the change in the cars momentum . the formula to identify the cars momentum is Δp=m*vf-m*vi . In this case m= mass , vf= velocity final, and vi= velocity initial . The mass is how much the car weighs , which is 4 kg . Velocity final would be 8 m/s since that's how fast it last was . Velocity initial would be 3 m/s since it had first started at that speed . Now we can jus plug it into the formula .

m= 4 kg

vf= 8 m/s

vi= 3 m/s

Δp= (4)*(8) - (4)*(3)

Δp= 32-12

Δp= 20 kg*m/s

hope this helps .

Please Help!!!!!! What is the acceleration of a car between 2 and 5 seconds? Hint: Acceleration is a change in speed and directi
Ghella [55]

Answer : B.  0 m/s∧2

Now we know that velocity = distance/ time

And acceleration = velocity/time.

From the graph we see that at the time interval 2 secs,the distance travelled is 10 m. Hence the velocity(v1) =10/2 = 5m/s.

From the graph we see that at the time interval 5 secs,the distance travelled is 25 m. Hence the velocity (v2) =25/5 = 5m/s.

Now acceleceration between the time interval of 2 ad 5 secs is calculated as

(v1-v2)/t2-t1 = (5-5)/(5-2) = 0 m/s∧2

a plane passes over Point A with a velocity of 8,000 m/s north. Forty seconds later it passes over Point B with a velocity of 10
ValentinkaMS [17]

Acceleration = (change in velocity) / (time for the change)

Change in velocity = (ending velocity) - (starting velocity)

Change in the plane's velocity = (10,000 m/s north) - (8,000 m/s north)

Change in the plane's velocity = 2,000 m/s north

Time for the change = 40 seconds

Acceleration = (2,000 m/s north) / (40 seconds)

<em>Acceleration = 50 m/s² north </em>

A 20 m high filled water tank develops a 0.50 cm hole in the vertical wall near the base. With what speed does the water shoot o
Rina8888 [55]

Answer:

The speed of the water shoot out of the hole is 20 m/s.

(d) is correct option.

Explanation:

Given that,

Height = 20 m

We need to calculate the velocity

Using formula Bernoulli equation

\dfrac{1}{2}\rho v_{1}^2+\rho gh_{1}=\dfrac{1}{2}\rho v_{2}^2+\rho gh_{2}

Where,

v₁= initial velocity

v₂=final velocity

h₁=total height

h₂=height of the hole from the base

Put the value into the formula

v_{1}^2=2g(h_{2}-h_{1})

v_{1}=\sqrt{2g(h_{2}-h_{1})}

v_{1}=\sqrt{2\times9.8\times(20-0.005)}

v_{1}=19.7\ m/s= approximate\ 20\ m/s

Hence, The speed of the water shoot out of the hole is 20 m/s.

A net force of 125 N accelerates a 25.0 kg mass. What is the resulting acceleration?
Neko [114]

Answer: a=5 m/s^2

Explanation:

The acceleration of an object can be calculated by using Newton's second law:

F=ma

where

F is the net force applied on the object

m is the mass of the object

a is its acceleration

In this problem, we have F=125 N and m=25.0 kg, so we can rearrange the equation to calculate the acceleration:

a=\frac{F}{m}=\frac{125 N}{25.0 kg}=5 m/s^2

Dimension of density <br>
Rom4ik [11]

Answer:

See the explanation below.

Explanation:

We know that density is defined as the relationship between mass and volume.

Ro = m/V

where:

m = mass [kg]

V = volume [m³]

Therefore Ro is given in:

[kg/m^{3} ]
