Calculating Ka value of Pivalic acid:

As,

So,

Putting value of pKa,

                                                Ka  =  1.0 × 10⁻⁵

Calculating Ka value of Formic acid:

As,

                                                 pKa  =  -log [Ka]

So,

Putting value of pKa,

                                                 Ka  =  10⁻³'⁸

                                                 Ka  =  1.58 × 10⁻⁴
