Boyle's Law states that when a sample of gas is compressed at a constant temperature, the pressure P and volume V satisfy the eq
gayaneshka [121]

Answer:

The volume is decreasing at 160 cm³/min

Explanation:

Given;

Boyle's law,  PV = C

where;

P is pressure of the gas

V is volume of the gas

C is constant

Differentiate this equation using product rule:

V\frac{dp}{dt} +P\frac{dv}{dt} = \frac{d(C)}{dt}

Given;

\frac{dP}{dt} (increasing pressure rate of the gas) = 40 kPa/min

V (volume of the gas) =  600 cm³

P (pressure of the gas) = 150 kPa

Substitute in these values in the differential equation above and calculate the rate at which the volume is decreasing ( \frac{dv}{dt});

(600 x 40) + (150 x \frac{dv}{dt}) = 0

\frac{dv}{dt} = -\frac{(600*40)}{150} = -160 \ cm^3/min

Therefore, the volume is decreasing at 160 cm³/min

Goal posts at the ends of football fields are padded as a safety measure for players who might run into them. How does thick pad
dimaraw [331]
When looking at it from a physics standpoint, the thick padding decreases the amount of force that a player experiences. Force equals mass times acceleration where acceleration is distance over time. The thick padding increases the amount of time the player makes contact with the post which decreases force.

How do solar panels create electricity
xenn [34]

Answer:

They create electricity from the sun's  rays

Explanation:

By the use of "solar cells" or "solar panel", you can trap solar energy in silicon/germanium rods, then you can convert in into electricity too. Solar powered panels convert the sun's rays into electricity by exciting electrons in silicon cells using the photons of light from the sun. This electricity can then be used to supply renewable energy to your home or business.

A dielectric material such as paper is placed between the plates of a capacitor holding a fixed charge. What happens to the elec
MAVERICK [17]

Answer:

Majorly the electric field is reduced among other effect listed in the explanation

Explanation:

In capacitors the presence of di-electric materials

1. decreases the electric fields

2. increases the capacitance of the capacitors.

3. decreases the voltage hence limiting the flow of electric current.

 The di-electric material serves as an insulator between the metal plates of the capacitors
