Projectile motion:

If an object is given an initial velocity in any direction and then allowed to travel freely under gravity, it is called a projectile motion.

It is basically 3 types.

 1. horizontally projectile motion
 2. oblique projectile motion
 3. included plane projectile motion

A small block has constant acceleration as it slides down a frictionless incline. The block is released from rest at the top of
ehidna [41]

Answer:

Explanation:

Given

Speed of block at bottom is v=3.8\ m/s

Distance traveled s=6\ m

initial velocity is zero

using equation of motion

v^2-u^2=2as

where v=final velocity

u=initial velocity

a=acceleration

s=displacement

(3.8)^2-0=2\times a\times 6

a=1.203\ m/s^2

when it is 3 m from top then

v^2-u^2=2as

v^2-0=2\times 1.203\times 3

v=2.68\ m/s

During a medical evaluation, the doctor can __________.
WINSTONCH [101]
During a medical evaluation, the doctor can D. all of the above. It is the doctor's duty to do all of these things - to establish some guidelines for activities, to see whether these programs are appropriate for the person in question, and to help them pick activities that will be safe for them and which they will be able to do without harming their bodies. The potential energy of the block is A) 490 J

Explanation:

The potential energy of an object is the energy possessed by the object due to its position in the gravitational field.

It is calculated as follows:

PE=mgh

where

m is the mass of the object

g is the acceleration due to gravity

h is the height of the object above the ground

For the block in this problem, we have:

m = 10 kg

g=9.8 m/s^2

h = 5 m

Therefore, its potential energy is:

PE=(10)(9.8)(5)=490 J

Concept map for kinetic energy, work and power
Helen [10]

Kinetic energy: the energy of motion

Work: the change in kinetic energy

Power: the rate of work done

Explanation:

The kinetic energy of an object is the energy possessed by the object due to its motion. Mathematically, it is given by:

K=\frac{1}{2}mv^2

where

m is the mass of the object

v is its speed

The work done an object is the amount of energy transferred; according to the energy-work theorem, it is equal to the change in kinetic energy of an object:

W=K_f - K_i

where

K_f is the final kinetic energy

K_i is the initial kinetic energy

Finally, the power is the rate of work done per unit time. Mathematically, ti can be expressed as

P=\frac{W}{t}

where

W is the work done

t is the time elapsed
