Answer:

<em>a) P(21)=40</em>

<em>b) P max = 60</em>

<em>c) P min = 20</em>

Explanation:

<u>Function Modeling</u>

The blood pressure P is modeled with the equation

P=20sin(2\pi t)+40

Where t is in seconds.

a) We'll find the pressure when t=21 seconds

P(21)=20sin(2\pi \cdot 21)+40

P(21)=40

b) The maximum value will occur when the sine function has a value of 1

P_{max}=20\cdot 1+40=60

c) The minimum pressure will occur when the sine function is at minimum (-1)

P_{min}=20\cdot -1+40=20

wink is the seismic station closest to the earthquake. describe two evidences from the seismogram that demonstrates this?
kotykmax [81]

Well, we don't know if it's the CLOSEST one, but it's closer than the other ones on this print-out.

There are actually three clues to this in the seismograms:

1). The waves from the tremor reach the Wink station first ... the P wave gets there 50 seconds before Chicago and 3 whole minutes before Tampa.

2). They are stronger (greater amplitude) at Wink than at Chicago or Tampa.

3). The delay between the P wave and the S wave is the smallest at Wink. This delay between the two waves grows as the detector is farther from the quake.

An object accelerates 16.3 m/s2 when a force of 4.6 newtons is applied to it, what is the object in grams
stealth61 [152]

We have no idea WHAT the object is.

But if the 4.6 N is the ONLY force acting on it (including friction), then its mass is 282.2 grams.

12. Which of the following accurately describes semiconductor diodes?
salantis [7]

Answer;

D. Junction diodes are preferred over point-contact diodes for most purposes.

Junction diodes are preferred over point-contact diodes for most purposes; accurately describes semiconductor diodes.

Explanation;

-Semiconductor diodes are specialized electronic components with two electrodes called the anode and the cathode, that are made with semiconductor materials such as silicon, germanium, or selenium.

-Point contact diode is formed by touching a metallic wire with an N-type semiconductor to form a small area of contact.

-A p-n junction diode is two-terminal or two-electrode semiconductor device, which allows the electric current in only one direction while blocks the electric current in opposite or reverse direction. Junction diodes are preferred over point-contact diodes for most purposes.
