Solution:

Formula:

Q = m.c. ΔT

Q = amount of heat absorbed or released

m = mass of given substance

c = specific heat capacity of substance

ΔT = change in temperature

by putting values,

4200 J = 2400 g ×0.84 J/g°C × ΔT

4200 J = 2016 J/°C  × ΔT

ΔT = 4200 J  / 2016 J/°C

ΔT = 2.08 °C
