True. Being an electrical engineer, you learn very quickly that current will take All paths of resistance. But, the higher the resistance the lower the voltage. So, if a high resistance is shorted and the current flows through the short, there will be some small voltage across it, so some small amount of current will still flow through the high resistance.

A stalled car is being pushed up a hill at constant velocity by three people. The net force on the car is Group of answer choice
vfiekz [6]

Answer:

Zero

Explanation:

Net force can be defined as the vector sum of all the forces acting on a body or an object i.e the sum of all forces acting simultaneously on a body or an object.

Mathematically, net force is given by the formula;

Fnet = Fapp + Fg

Where;

Fnet is the net force.

Fapp is the applied force.

Fg is the force due to gravitation.

In this scenario, a stalled car is being pushed up a hill at constant velocity by three people. Thus, the net force on the car is zero because all the forces acting on any physical object is equal to zero and represents a constant velocity; by balancing or cancelling each other out.

According to Sir Isaac Newton's First Law of Motion which is known as Law of Inertia, it states that an object or a physical body in motion will continue in its state of motion at continuous velocity (the same speed and direction) or, if at rest, will remain at rest unless acted upon by an external force.

Three equal point charges, each with charge 1.15 μCμC , are placed at the vertices of an equilateral triangle whose sides are of
julsineya [31]

Answer:

U=50.96J

Explanation:

The electrostatic potential energy for pair of charge is given by

U=1/4π∈₀×(q₁q₂/r)

Hence for a system of three charges the electrostatic potential energy can be found by adding up the potential energy for all possible pairs or charges.For three equal charges on the corners of an equilateral triangle,the electrostatic potential energy is given by:

U=1/4π∈₀×(q²/r)+1/4π∈₀×(q²/r)+1/4π∈₀×(q²/r)

U=3×1/4π∈₀×(q²/r)

Substitute given values

So

U=3\frac{1}{4\pi E_{o} }\frac{q^{2} }{r}\\  U=3\frac{1}{4\pi8.85*10^{-12} }\frac{(1.15*10^{-6}C )^{2} }{0.0007m}\\  U=50.96J

(b) Can the speed of a rocket exceed the exhaust speed of the fuel? Explain.
muminat

<u>Yes. The speed of a rocket can exceed the exhaust speed of the fuel.</u>

How this is explained?

  • The thrust of the rocket does not depend on the relative speed of the gases or the relative speed of the rocket.
  • It depends on conservation of momentum.

What is conservation of momentum?

  • Conservation of momentum, general law of physics according to which the quantity called momentum that characterizes motion never changes in an isolated collection of objects; that is, the total momentum of a system remains constant.
  • Momentum is equal to the mass of an object multiplied by its velocity and is equivalent to the force required to bring the object to a stop in a unit length of time.
  • For any array of several objects, the total momentum is the sum of the individual momenta.
  • There is a peculiarity, however, in that momentum is a vector, involving both the direction and the magnitude of motion, so that the momenta of objects going in opposite directions can cancel to yield an overall sum of zero.

Soil formation involves both
Softa [21]
The process of soil formation involves the following steps: Accumulation of materials, leaching and losses (because of weather factors particles are leached and eroded away or taken up from the soil by plants), Transformation and illluviation (the chemical weathering<span> of silt, sand, and the formation of clay minerals as well as the change of organic materials into decay resistant organic matter), p</span>odsolisation and translocations (strong acidic solutions breakdown the clay minerals). From the given options soil formation involves both <span>physical and chemical weathering of rocks. Correct answer:D</span>
