"Two major varieties of igneous rock are _______ and ________. What is the difference between these two types of igneous rock?"
grandymaker [24]

Answer:

Intrusive and Extrusive igneous rocks.

Explanation:

Igneous rocks are defined as those rocks that are formed when magma undergoes the process of crystallization and solidification at or below the earth's surface. For example, Granite, Rhyolite, Gabbro and Diorite.

The igneous rocks are of two different types, namely-

 • Intrusive igneous rocks- This type of igneous rocks are formed when the magma crystallizes below or within the earth's crust. For example, Granite.
 • Extrusive igneous rocks- This type of igneous rocks are formed when the magma crystallizes and solidifies at the surface of the earth. For example, Basalt.

The pressure of Cl2 gas in a 2.0-L cylinder is 300. kPa at 25°C. What is the pressure (in kPa) when this gas is released into a
Veronika [31]

The Final Pressure of the gas is 6 kPa

What is Boyle's Law ?

At constant Temperature , the absolute pressure exerted by the gas is inversely proportional to the volume of the gas.

\rm P_1V_1 = P_2V_2

It is given that

\rm P_1 = 300k.Pa\\T_1 = 25 \; Degree\\V_1 = 2L\\V_2 = 100L\\T_2 = 25 Degree\\P_2 = ?

To determine Final Pressure , Boyle's Law will be applied

300 * 2 = P₂ * 100

P₂ = 300 * 2 / 100

P₂ =6 kPa

Therefore the Final Pressure of the gas is 6 kPa.

Assuming dopant atoms are uniformly distributed in a silicon crystal, how far apart are these atoms when the doping concentratio
enyata [817]

Answer:

d =~ 5.8μm

d =~ 0.13 μm

Explanation:

when the doping concentrations are 5 × 10^15 cm^-3

d = v^-1/3 ; where d represent the distance between the atoms , and v represent the volume

d =1/ ∛v

d = 1/ ∛5 × 10^15

d = 1/ 170997.5

d = 5.85 × 10 ^ -6

d =~ 5.8μm

when the doping concentrations are 5 × 10^20 cm^-3

d = v^-1/3 ; where d represent the distance between the atoms , and v represent the volume

d =1/ ∛v

d = 1/ ∛5 × 10^20

using the principle of surds and standard forms, we have

d = 1/ ∛0.5 × 10^21

d = 1/7937005.26

d = 1.26 × 10 ^ -7

d = 0.126 × 10 ^ -6

d =~ 0.13 μm
