What is the Percent yield is 4.65 got copper is produced by 1.87 percent yield is 4.65 got copper is produced when 1.87 grams of
marta [7]

Answer:

Percent yield = 69.4%

Explanation:

Given data:

Percent yield  = ?

Actual yield of copper = 4.65 g

Mass of aluminium = 1.87 g

Mass of copper sulfate = excess

Solution:

Chemical equation:

2Al + 3CuSO₄   →   Al₂(SO₄)₃ + 3Cu

Number of moles of Aluminium:

Number of moles = mass/ molar mass

Number of moles = 1.87 g/27 g/mol

Number of moles = 0.07 mol

Now we will compare the moles of Al with copper.

                 Al           :            Cu

                   2           :              3

                0.07         :              3/2×0.07 =0.105 mol

Mass of Copper:(Theoretical yield)

Mass = Number of moles × molar mass

Mass = 0.105 mol × 63.5 g/mol

Mass = 6.7 g

Percent yield:

Percent yield = Actual yield / theoretical yield × 100

Percent yield = 4.65 g/ 6.7 g × 100

Percent yield = 69.4%

Calculate the no. of each atoms presents in 10 grams of calcium carbonate.
raketka [301]

Molar Mass of Calcium carbonate:-

\\ \sf\longmapsto CaCO_3

\\ \sf\longmapsto 40u+12u+3(16u)

\\ \sf\longmapsto 52u+48u

\\ \sf\longmapsto 100u

\\ \sf\longmapsto 100g/mol

  • Given Mass=10g

\boxed{\sf No\:of\;moles=\dfrac{Given\:Mass}{Molar\:Mass}}

\\ \sf\longmapsto No\:of\;moles=\dfrac{10}{100}

\\ \sf\longmapsto No\:of\:moles=0.1mol

Now

\boxed{\sf No\:of\:molecules=No\;of\:moles\times Avagadro\: No}

\\ \sf\longmapsto 0.1\times 6.023\times 10^{23}

\\ \sf\longmapsto 6.023\times 10^{22}molecules

yuradex [85]

Answer:

3.14 grams of ammonium thiocyanate must be used to react completely with 6.5 g barium hydroxide octahydrate.

Explanation:

Ba(OH)_2.8H_2O(s)+NH_4SCN(s)\rightarrow Ba(SCN)_2(s)+8H_2O(l)+NH_3(g)

The balance chemical equation is :

Ba(OH)_2.8H_2O(s)+2NH_4SCN(s)\rightarrow Ba(SCN)_2(s)+10H_2O(l)+2NH_3(g)

Mass of barium hydroxide octahydrate = 6.5 g

Moles of  barium hydroxide octahydrate = \frac{6.5 g}{315 g/mol}=0.020635 mol

According to reaction, 2 moles of ammonium thiocyanate reacts with1 mole of  barium hydroxide octahydrate. The 0.020635 moles of barium hydroxide octahydrate will react with:

\frac{2}{1}\times 0.020635 mol=0.04127 mol

Mass of 0.04127 moles of ammonium thiocyanate;

0.04127 mol\times 76 g/mol=3.136 g\approx 3.14 g

3.14 grams of ammonium thiocyanate must be used to react completely with 6.5 g barium hydroxide octahydrate
