Yolo has 2 pieces of string. One is 32 inches long, the other is 48 inches long. She wants to make as many necklaces as she can,
olasank [31]

Answer:

8 Inches

Step-by-step explanation:

If she cuts the 32 inch string into strands of 8 inches then she will have 4 equal pieces. And since 48 is divisible by 8 as well, this would mean 8 inches would have to be the longest necklace she'd be able to make.

32/8= 4 strands of 8 inches

48/8= 6 strands of 8 inches

There are two parking garages in beacon falls . Garage a charges $7.00 to park for the first 2 hours ,and each additional hour c
Julli [10]

Answer

Find out the number of hours when the cost of parking at both garages will be the same.

To prove

As given

There are two parking garages in beacon falls .

As given

Let us assume that the y is representing the  cost of parking at both garages will be the same.

The total number of hours is represented by the x.

First case

Garage a charges $7.00 to park for the first 2 hours ,and each additional hour costs $3.00 .

As  garage charges $7.00 for the first 2 hours so the remaning hours are (x -2)

Than the equation becomes

y = 3.00 (x -2) + 7.00

written in the simple form

y = 3x - 6 +7

y = 3x + 1

Second case

Garage b charges $3.25 per hour to park.

than the equation becomes

y = 3.25x

Compare both the equations

3x +1 = 3.25x

3.25x -3x = 1

.25x = 1

x = \frac{1}{.25}

x = 4hours

Therefore in the 4 hours  the cost of parking at both garages will be the same.

Find the sum of the following ap .1) 1/15, 1/12, 1/10,....,to 11 terms
sertanlavr [38]

Answer:

33/20

Step-by-step explanation:

1/12 - 1/15 = 5/60 - 4/60 = 1/60

d = 1/60

a_n = a_1 + d(n - 1)

a_11 = 1/15 + (1/60)(11 - 1)

a_11 = 1/15 + 1/6

a_11 = 4/60 + 10/60

a_11 = 14/60

a_11 = 7/30

a_12 = 14/60 + 1/60

a_12 = 15/60

a_12 = 1/4

s_n = n(a_1 + a_n)/2

s_11 = 11(1/15 + 7/30)/2

s_11 = 11(2/30 + 7/30)/2

s_11 = 11(9/30)/2

s_11 = 99/60

s_11 = 33/20
