Answer:

P V = N R T       ideal gas equation

V1 = k * T1        if P is constant and also N and R will be constant

V2 = k * T2      where k is some constant

Or     V2 = (T2 / T1) * V1      also known as "Charles Law"  for expansion at

constant pressure

V2 = (373 / 273) * 1000 cm^3 = 1366 cm^3     where T is absolute temperature

A small box is held in place against a rough vertical wall by someone pushing on it with a force directed upward at 27 ∘ above t
ycow [4]

Answer:

Explanation:

Applied force, F = 18 N

Coefficient of static friction, μs = 0.4

Coefficient of kinetic friction, μs = 0.3

θ = 27°

Let N be the normal reaction of the wall acting on the block and m be the mass of block.

Resolve the components of force F.

As the block is in the horizontal equilibrium, so

F Cos 27° = N

N = 18 Cos 27° = 16.04 N

As the block does not slide so it means that the syatic friction force acting on the block balances the downwards forces acting on the block .

The force of static friction is μs x N = 0.4 x 16.04 = 6.42 N   .... (1)

The vertically downward force acting on the block is mg - F Sin 27°

                                                      = mg - 18 Sin 27° = mg - 8.172    ... (2)

Now by equating the forces from equation (1) and (2), we get

mg - 8.172 = 6.42

mg = 14.592

m x 9.8 = 14.592

m = 1.49 kg

Thus, the mass of block is 1.5 kg.

Without friction, what is the mass of an ball accelerating at 1.8 m/sec2 to which an
Juli2301 [7.4K]

Answer:

23.33 kg

Explanation:

The mass of the object can be found by using the formula

m =  \frac{f}{a}  \\

f is the force

a is the acceleration

From the question we have

m  = \frac{42}{1.8}   = 23.3333... \\

We have the final answer as

23.33 kg

Hope this helps you

The time of motion of the track star is determined as 0.837 s.

Time of motion of the track star

The time of motion of the track star is calculated as follows;

T = (2u sinθ)/g

where;

  • T is time of motion
  • g is acceleration due to gravity
  • θ is angle of projection

T = (2 x 12 x sin20)/9.8

T = 0.837 s

What happens to the pressure in all parts of a confined fluid if the pressure in one part is increased?
Sauron [17]

Answer:

The pressure will be transmitted equally to all other parts of the confined fluid causing a general increase in pressure throughout the container.

Explanation:

This is in line with pascal's law of pressure which states that the pressure exerted on a given mass of fluid is transmitted undiminished to other parts of the fluid.

Changing the speed of a synchronous generator changes A) the frequency and amplitude of the output voltage. B) only the frequenc
Dmitrij [34]

Answer:

A) the frequency and amplitude of the output voltag

Explanation:

Changing the speed of a synchronous generator changes both the output voltage (amplitude of the wave) and frequency as they tend to increase.

Changing the speed regulator will change the engine throttle setting to maintain the speed.

While the power, torque, current, fuel flow rate and torque angle will have decreased.
